Seen between the two trees is the obelisk erected in 1727 by the artist Sir James Thornhill of Thornhill House, to commemorate the accession of George II.
These large water filled tractor ruts are in a low-lying field adjacent to a stream which is a tributary of the Caundle Brook. The woods in the distance are Holtham Plantation in ST7215.
