: Stepping stones and footbridge over the River Lyvennet by Karl and Ali Stepping stones and footbridge over the River Lyvennet
The public footpath to Morland crosses the river here. Neither option is, surprisingly, shown on the maps. We met a local couple earlier who informed us about them (which saved Ali from carrying me across on her back).
: Footpath in Town Wood by Karl and Ali Footpath in Town Wood
A lovely track through mature, mixed woodland on the route to Morland. It would be very muddy after rain though.
: Wicker figure by the Lyvennet by Karl and Ali Wicker figure by the Lyvennet
A figure made from wicker appears to be an angler fly fishing in the river.
: Wicker monster by the Lyvennet by Karl and Ali Wicker monster by the Lyvennet
Another wicker sculpture a little further upstream from the angler. 'Nessie' ahoy?
: Footpath in Hagg Wood by Karl and Ali Footpath in Hagg Wood
The path in this narrow strip of woodland passes through a dense carpet of wild garlic (ramsons) and bluebells. The garlic in particular can be smelled from a distance.
: 'Gothick' barn by Morland Beck by Karl and Ali 'Gothick' barn by Morland Beck

: Footpath through Town Wood by Karl and Ali Footpath through Town Wood
Some parts of the wood are quite densely planted. The footpath leads from the River Lyvennet towards Morland and makes a pleasant contrast to the more open field paths hereabouts.
