Look like the same trees as here: NT3738 : Trees, Gatehopeknowe Burn Summer is here, but alders are late coming to leaf. Gate Hope has some extensive alder woods along the burn.

The estate track up to the cottages at Caberstongrains and Seathope, with the plantations on the W side of Cairn Hill ahead. Taken on a hot sunny morning, in complete contrast to my last visit in December 2012, shown in NT3738 : Track below Kill Brae.
