A cobbled road from Shore Hall down to the village of Shore. This is looking towards Shore village. In the distance is the Rakewood Viaduct carrying the M62 up the Pennines.

The large Shore Mills were closed and demolished shortly after this photograph was taken. The reservoir was filled in, and the whole are used for construction of new houses.
