This is the top of the byway which leads down the dale towards Hope. The surface is now unsuitable for wheeled vehicles; even an all-terrain bike would have difficulty.

Going up onto Bradwell Moor.

This gridsquare is somewhat dominated by the Hope Limestone Quarry. The road here which loops around its perimeter had recently been relaid and re-routed at the date of posting.

In this instance the 'Keep Out' warning is more than justified. Vegetation obscures a number of depressions with undisclosed depth!
