After eight weeks of tears, tantrums, twists and turns, the Love Island series 11 final is upon us during which one couple will be crowned winners and earn £50,000 between them.

As well as countless disputes in the villa, there has been plenty of romance, and the only official boyfriend and girlfriend of the series are heavy favourites on betting sites for victory in the villa.

The season began with one of the UK show's biggest-ever twists when former TOWIE star Joey Essex became the first-ever celebrity contestant to enter the series on launch night.

Fast forward eight weeks, and he and his partner Jessy Potts were the final pair to be dumped from series 11 on Sunday night's episode.

It came after the Islanders all had to vote for two couples they thought were the least compatible, and every pairing apart from favourites Nicole Samuel and Ciaran Davies, faced a last-minute dumping.

Love Island bosses enlisted the help of this summer's former Islanders, who returned to the villa to vote a pair off.

They had to each stand up and cast an individual dump vote, which resulted in Joey and Jessy departing.

Joey's Love Island exes Samantha Kenny and Grace Jackson were among those who voted for him and Jessy to go, and afterwards the self-proclaimed reality TV king fumed that he had been voted out for personal reasons rather than his and Jessy's compatibility.

There are now four remaining couples in the final, and while there is an odds-on favourite, this series has proved anything can happen in the villa.

Nicole And Ciaran To Win Crown?

Ciaran and Nicole have been worthy favourites on Love Island betting sites for weeks now, and it would be a shock if they didn't triumph in Monday night's final.

The pair have been flitting between odds of 4/11 and 2/5 in recent days, and they look likely to head into the finale as the 2/5 favourites with Bet365.

They are the only original couple in the villa, after they both started off the series on launch night.

Victory in the villa would be sweet for Ciaran, as he was voted "least likely boyfriend material" in the first episode of the series by his fellow Islanders.

As a result, he was forced to couple up with Harriett Blackmore, who had been voted "least likely girlfriend material" by the Islanders.

However, eight weeks later, Ciaran looks set to have the last laugh as he is now the only boyfriend in the villa, and he and Nicole have a commanding position at the top of market.

After episode one, Ciaran was a massive 6/1 to win this year's series, while Nicole was 4/1, but those prices are long gone.

Mimii And Josh's Late Move

While Ciaran and Nicole appear to be champions elect, Mimii Ngulube and Josh Oyinsan might have something to say about that.

The pair are moving in the right direction on specials betting sites at just the right time.

Mimii and Josh were 4/1 second favourites to win the show late last week, but they are now into just 5/2 with Bet365, and they could spring a surprise on Monday night.

If anyone is going to dethrone Ciaran and Nicole it looks like being Josh and Mimii, who has had her own redemption story since Casa Amor.

During Casa, she slept outside on the daybeds to remain loyal to her then-partner Ayo Odukoya.

However, upon returning to the main villa she discovered he had effectively dumped her by opting to recouple with Casa bombshell Jessica Spencer.

Mimii later recoupled with bombshell Josh, and the pair are exclusive, as are fellow finalists Jess and Ayo.

Despite this, ever since Casa concluded, there have been murmurings among the other Islanders that Ayo and Mimii still have strong feelings for one another.

While they have continued to bat such speculation away, there was a chaotic moment during the Meet The Family episode when Ayo's brother entered the villa and said he thought his sibling was better suited to Mimii.

This didn't do Ayo any favours, but he has insisted his future is with Jess.

Uh-Oh Ayo

Despite his insistence, Ayo and Jessica's chances of winning the series aren't great, if betting apps are anything to go by.

They are still propping up the market, but the pair have now drifted to a massive 50/1 with Bet365, from 33/1 late last week.

It would be a huge shock if they win the series, with those who are still rooting for an Ayo-Mimii reconciliation more likely to vote for Mimii and Josh to win instead.

Elsewhere, sweet company owner Sean Stone and his exclusive partner Matilda Draper had looked a shoo-in for second place for weeks.

However, their Love Island journey has turned slightly sour after Sean couldn't help but get involved in other people's business - largely the Ayo and Mimii rumours.

What's more, some of the former Islanders who returned to the villa claimed on Sunday night's episode that they couldn't see a future for Sean and Matilda.

That won't have helped their cause, and the pair's price has grown to a massive 14/1 with Bet365 to win series 11. They were 8/1 late last week, and 5/1 to triumph just five days ago.

While Sean and Matilda look unlikely to get over the line in first place, whoever wins will deserve to taste victory after eight long weeks in the villa.
