This book was definitely full of surprises and definitely not my usual read. While I do love this author, I did forget how incredibly steamy some (if not most) of her reads can be. And while I did appreciate all the trigger warnings at the beginning of the book, I don't think I quite appreciated them all until I started reading.

This book moved a little slow in the first half but definitely picked up by the middle and then, it just took off. With one new revelation after another. I loved Sydney being an unreliable narrator throughout most of the story as not only the mysteries of the island progressed, but Sydney's and the other's as well.

This story kept me on my toes and completely fascinated about what would happen next, what would be revealed next, and what other twists and turns the author would throw at all the characters next.

Lorna She’s been a favorite author of mine since she wrote her Experiments in Terror series. I love that series. I started to get this one until I read what it was about and the trigger warnings. Do you think the trigger warnings are really that bad? I just hate to not read something I might regret not getting.
