I fell in love with Moose Springs and it’s quirky and lovable inhabitants when I read The Tourist Attraction. I loved this book just as much with its added holiday infusion. Lana and Rick were so cute together - opposites at first glance who were exactly what each other need in all the ways that count. I loved seeing all the quirky inhabitants of Moose Springs, their adorable and fashionable pets and we even got another moose! These books don’t have a lot of steam but in my opinion they have just the right amount of banter and steam that go with the heartwarming feel of the series. Reading these books instantly feels like catching up with old friends that you’ve missed. I’m definitely a fan and look forward to book 3 and getting more of gentle giant Easton, along with all the characters I’ve come to enjoy so much. ...more

Nothing like a A disturbing thrill ride with a flawed, bad ass heroine. This horror read took me by surprise and the audio was absolutely chilling! Nothing like a book involving killers, gore and supernatural elements! Simply, put Charles Manx in his 1938 Rolls-Royce Wraith with his evil minion Bing kidnapping and transporting unsuspecting children to Christmasland are the stuff of nightmares! Kate Mulgrew is an amazing narrator - she took this book to a whole other level for me with her voices. So damn creepy! This was my first Joe Hill book and he is every bit a warped thinker as his father the great Stephen King! Everything was so damn creepy, the characters were all so flawed yet you fall for them anyway and you can’t help but get caught up in the fight, rooting for good to overcome evil! Honestly, this book had a bit of everything - horror, mystery, suspense, supernatural fantasy, a touch or romance (...more

Little does she know when accepting a ride with 4 total strangers in the midst of a blizzard that one of them is a sociopath with a deadly obsession. Can she uncover the truth before the road trip turns fatal? This is a YA locked room type mystery taking place in a car during a blizzard. It was a binge worthy read that had me second guessing all the inhabitants of the car and mentally spinning all types of theories. While I felt annoyed with some of the characters and their choices, I also found myself wanting to scream at Mira because I sensed danger at every turn. I was completely addicted to the story and engrossed in all the danger and mishaps along the way. The suspense builds throughout the story and though it wasn’t without a few plot holes, this one made me jump, shout OMG a few times and kept me on the edge of my seat. So, I’m rating it based on all the feels it gave me bc it was a perfect snowy mystery for this time of year and I thoroughly enjoyed getting lost in it. ...more
The Steele’s family idyllic life is shattered when Russ’ plane goes down in the Caribbean revealing that not all was what it seemed in their lives. WeThe Steele’s family idyllic life is shattered when Russ’ plane goes down in the Caribbean revealing that not all was what it seemed in their lives. We have lots of secrets, lies, infidelity, heartache, love, loss, drama and even some romance! Elin Hilderbrand does family drama like no other. I love the complicated dynamics in the relationships. There are no easy roads here and the waters are definitely murky. But this is why I get so sucked in by her books and this series is one that I’m definitely hooked on after this first book - ...more
