I read this cute little book to my 5-year-old niece who really reminds me of the little bear in this story, she always seems to get extra hyper right before bedtime and always wants a snack... or two... or three lol. This is a book both children and parents will enjoy, it's the perfect bedtime story. The illustrations are beautiful and colorful and very adorable. I do have to say though that our favorite part was whats at the back of the book, it's full of fun facts about hibernating bears, facts on other animals that hibernate too like a Yellow-Bellied Marmot, a Chipmunk, a Snapping Turtle, and a Garter Snake. It also has a little four-question quiz for the child to take to determine if they'd be able to hibernate themselves. Recommend :) ...more

Oh, this book is so adorable! Really it's the perfect bedtime story. One that your little ones will just love, they will love the bright, bold, funny and so cute illustrations and seeing all of the different things each dinosaur does before going to bed. As well as learn the names of some of their most favorite dinosaurs. I seriously recommend this one!! It's a very sweet, simple, easy to read story....more

So Wrong 2 is the second book... but it can be read as a stand-alone. I really enjoy this book. It's cute and funny and really entertaining. I wasn't the only one to read it, I also gave it to my 12-year-old niece and she absolutely loves it! She read it several times and laughed out loud more than once. We both agree that the character Warren, the One-Legged Wonder Dog is the absolute best out of the bunch. My niece and I are very sure a lot of other kids will enjoy all of the super funny stories, goofy ads, hilarious and slightly gross jokes and of course so so much more. As I've mentioned it's one entertaining read and you won't be disappointed. The illustrations are wonderful and funny too. Yeah, I totally recommend this for young kids. <3<3...more

Unfortunately, the story or to be more exact the text didn't do much for me. I like the idea behind it but I just feel like it missed the mark, It took a bit to long to get to the point. I did find that all of the different birds finding facts at the back of the book was way more interesting than the story itself and so did my 5-year-old niece. As for the illustrations they are really well done and very lovely. ...more

Love this! Do Doodlebugs Doodle? was really cute and funny. I loved bugs so much when I was little (my favorite are Pill Bugs). Yeah, I was such a tomboy and this book took me back there. I read this to my 5-year-old niece and she really enjoyed it, she too loves bugs. We both really like the facts for each bug mentioned at the back of the book, it was all very informational. Oh, and the illustrations are seriously perfect, the bright colors and glossy paper really brings it to life. This book would be perfect for any kid but especially for the ones who are into creepy crawlers. We will read this many more times :)...more

As soon as I saw the fox on the cover I just had to sign up to read this! The fact that this is also based on truth and real experiments made it even better. My niece who is 5 really enjoyed it too, she loves animals and books that are about "real" animals and events. Foxes have always been a love of mine and I'd love to actually have one as a pet someday :) We love the photos so much, Pushinka is absolutely beautiful! This is a book you can read many times and expect your child to ask many questions along the way. Its very thought invoking which I love. So yeah, this is definitely a book I recommend! Enjoy ...more

Family Hugs reads like it's three separate stories and ends with one very long boring family tree. It's about love, hugs and the role of family. This wasn't a horrible book, it really wasn't but when I read it to my little niece who is 5 we were both pretty bored, to be honest. It just didn't captivate her and the illustrations were a bit boring and dull, I think if the colors would have been bright and vibrant it would have made a BIG difference....more

This is such a cute story. I read it to my niece and we both thoroughly enjoyed it. Everything in this book was just wonderful; from it being based on 'The Wright Brothers' to the characters to the plot and of course the stunning illustrations. The illustrations have to be my favorite thing, they have this dreamy whispy hue about them that really draws you in. Seriously perfect! Definitely something we'll read many more times. So woth buying the actual print copy. Also, the free gifts at the end are just awesome. Who doesn't love coloring pages and a free picture book called Mr Smudge's Thirsty Day :)

This is the second book I have read now by Ingo Blum and I've given them both 3 stars. This wasn't a bad book, it was better than Where is My Little Dog? but still just a 3 star for me. My 5-year-old niece enjoyed it more too but I doubt it's something we'd ever read together again. It's a cute and funny little book with animals who live on a farm. They organize a party for their friend (who is a duck) Carlos's birthday party. I'm really not a fan of some of the names but that's neither here nor there. I didn't like that the conflict between Carlos and Nelly was never dealt with, it was just swept under the rug sort of speak. What a missed learning opportunity that was. I didn't care for the way the bilingual is set up. Again for little kids that are not bilingual, the extra words are confusing and distracting. Also, my niece was a bit disappointed that the pictures weren’t on the same pages as the story, perhaps it was because it was kindle format..? I don't know. Anyways the illustrations are really adorable and brightly colored so the artwork really pops and my niece loved the coloring pages at the end of the book that I was able to print out for her....more

I really like the concept of this book. It's a very simple, easy to follow story about a kid looking for there dog. I like the idea behind it being bilingual too but it didn't hit its mark in my opinion. For little kids that are not bilingual, the extra sentences will just confuse them. Which is what happened when reading to my little niece. The illustrations are really cute and the bright colors really pop however we were both a little confused about the dog lady at the end of the story...? As in there was NO lady. Anyways, I love that it includes coloring pages in the back of the book, I was able to print out for her to color. Honestly, that was what she was most excited about. Overall Where is My Little Dog? is a cute fun story. I would just maybe rethink the way it's set up....more

This was an adorably sweet book about a loner boy learning to let his guard down and excepting someone else into his solitary bubble and in him doing so gaining a wonderful friend in the prosses. I really love the meaning of this story, it would be a perfect book for teachers to read in the classroom to help kids who struggle with letting others in their boundaries. Really though this is a great gook for any parent to read their kids. I read this to my 5-year-old niece and she really enjoyed it :) This book also had us making our very own masks lol. The illustrations are truly wonderful too!...more

I wasn't sure what to expect when signing up to read Matt's swirly world through Hidden Gems Books ARC Reviews for an honest review. So here it is... I really like the premise of this story but I just didn't love it. I mean it definitely has a lot of potential. I like the message that Madeleine Matthews is trying to deliver but it gets a little lost in translation. I read this to my niece who is 5 years old and with the way it is written it went over her head. I think maybe it needs to be a little simpler maybe? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Anyways, the illustrations were really great, I love the dragon!!! It's one of my favorite things in this book. ...more

This book is a classic and it's a good go-to-bed story. My niece really enjoyed it but for me, it was just alright. Not quite as good as I remember but then again few things are. It's all VERY simple but the illustrations are cute and colorful so there's that! Definitely worth the read. Other than that I'm really not sure what to say ¯\_(ツ)_/¯. ...more

Okay so... I wouldn't go as far as to say this was a good book but I came across it on a group I'm a member of on Facebook, on a day when I really just needed a good laugh and this did not disappoint. It's silly, clever, amusing and terrible all at the same time. The whole book is a double entendre as I'm sure you can tell by reading the title. Really it's just a book of humor and it has cute illustrations and the beaver is adorable too! Would I read this to a child? No probably not. 😂😂😂 But it's not like they'd understand the references.
