“The process doesn’t end there. Stories are more than just images. As you continue in the tale, you get to know the characters, motivations and conflicts that make up the core of the story. This requires more parts of the brain. Some parts process emotion. Others infer the thoughts of others, letting us empathize with their experiences. Yet other parts package the experience into memories for future reflection”

“Someday, Locke Lamora,” he said, “someday, you’re going to fuck up so magnificently, so ambitiously, so overwhelmingly that the sky will light up and the moons will spin and the gods themselves will shit comets with glee. And I just hope I’m still around to see it.”

Hi Steve,
I read a whole lot of fantasy back in high school. I've actually read the Mallorean and a few triologies in his other world too, but don't remember them well enough to rate them.

Hi Livia. I've been watching with interest the books you have been adding to your lists recently, and I am amazed at how much we have in common. Expecially the David Eddings series. I had forgotten those almost completely, but I enjoyed them so much. There are quite a few others I've read that you have reminded me about. I need to update my list. Hope you are having a fabulous weekend. Talk to you soon.
