About Bike EXIF: The premier custom motorcycle website

Bike EXIF, the global showcase for custom motorcycles, was founded in 2008 by Chris Hunter [above]. Chris took his passion for motorcycles and turned it into one of the World’s largest websites for motorcycle enthusiasts, garnering several million pages views per month during the cafe racer heydays. As the entity grew (and grew and grew) Chris realized he could no longer handle the overwhelming success of Bike EXIF on his own, and subsequently sold the site in 2020 to Iron and Air Media.

Iron and Air operated Bike EXIF, still utilizing Chris and longtime contributor Wes Reyneke, and their knowledge to keep the same look, high-profile photography and eye-catching bikes that made Bike EXIF so popular. In late 2022 Bike EXIF again changed hands, this time COLE Publishing, Inc. out of Eagle River, Wisconsin took the handlebars. COLE, who has been publishing in both print and digitally since 1979, has a full team of dedicated writers, photographers and sales staff that will continue to operate the site just as Chris has since 2008.

What does Bike EXIF mean? Well, it stands for ‘Exchangeable Image File format’. This is the data captured by a digital camera when a photo is taken, and often stored within an image file. It’s a nod to our focus on premier photography as well as good bike builds.

You can reach us via COLE Publishing, PO Box 2707, 415 E Wall Street, Eagle River, WI 54521. You can also get Bike EXIF articles via email or join the conversation on Instagram, Pinterest, or Facebook.
