After weeks of below-freezing temperatures, the Baltimore area is expected to see highs in the 50s this week, according to the National Weather Service.
Monday is forecast to be sunny near BWI Marshall Airport with a high near 50. Windy conditions are expected with speeds ranging from 5 to 10 mph.

Conditions are forecast to shift to partly cloudy headed into Monday evening with a low of 30.
Tuesday is projected to be partly sunny with a high near 50. Winds are expected to range from 8 to 17 mph with gusts up to 34 mph.
Tuesday night, conditions are forecast to be mostly cloudy with a low of 29.
Wednesday is expected to be partly sunny and the warmest day of the week with temperatures reaching 54. However, Wednesday is also projected to have the coldest evening with a low of 27. It’s expected to be breezy, with gentle-to-moderate breezes picking up to winds of 16 to 21 mph in the afternoon and gusts as high as 39 mph.
Thursday is forecast to be sunny with a high near 43. Partly cloudy conditions are projected to set in Thursday night with a low around 26.
According to the NWS, Friday will be the week’s first chance for precipitation, with a 60% chance of rain expected after 1 p.m. Conditions are forecast to be mostly sunny with a high near 52.
The forecast for rain lasts throughout Friday night, which is projected to have a low of 27.
