Only a 5-minute drive from Miyajima Ferry Port with its free shuttle, beautiful ocean views can be enjoyed from Miyajima Seaside Hotel. The serenity, on the ocean but slightly away from the business. Nice room, good amenities and delicious dinner and breakfast. Staff was incredible and we rented bikes to get us around for only ¥500!

Shokinkan er staðsett í Yasugi, 27 km frá Shinji-vatni, 29 km frá Lafcadio Hearn-minningarsafninu og 25 km frá Mizuki Shigeru-safninu. All of the meals were amazing! This was Shujin Ryori at its finest! We could not have asked for better. The tatami rooms were beautiful with lovely views of the temples and trees. The hotel is set inside the temple complex within a forest of very tall old cedars and bamboo on a mountainside. The air was fresh and clean. It was quiet and peaceful. The staff were very friendly and helpful and offered to drive us to the Adachi Museum of Art. We preferred to relax in the forest with the peace and quiet.

The traditional Japanese breakfast is a culinary experience but may not be suitable for everyone. It's 3 mins away from the Torii Gate and the Itsukushima Temple, and also from the dock. The rooms are tidy and clean.

Itsukushimahigashimonzen Kikugawa er staðsett í Miyajima og býður upp á gistirými sem eru aðeins fyrir fullorðna, garð og sameiginlega setustofu. Amazing traditional ryokan stay. Great place right next to all the sites and shops. Just around the corner from the ferry. Very nice traditional breakfast. Will come back again

Kansuitei Kozeniya er staðsett í 50 km fjarlægð frá Daijoji-hofinu og býður upp á gistirými í Tottori með aðgangi að hverabaði. Breakfast is very satisfactory. But it's a little far from the train station.

Oyado Tsukiusagi býður upp á herbergi í japönskum stíl og ókeypis WiFi, í innan við 10 mínútna göngufjarlægð frá Itsukushima-helgistaðnum. Everything was exceptional. We loved the Oyado Tsukiusagi! It had the most comfortable futon beds we experienced through our 5 weeks of traveling through Japan, a beautiful and clean room, and the lady at the hotel was very nice and welcoming. We really love Miyajima so we were very happy that we could stay at the island through the night.

Ryori Ryokan Tsurugata er staðsett í sögulega hverfinu Kurashiki Bikan og býður upp á gistirými í japönskum stíl í sögulegri byggingu frá Edo-tímabilinu. This was absolutely fabulous! The highlight of our trip and so off the beaten trail. The ryokan is stunning and right in the historic district on the canal. The 11 course dinner served in our room was delicious and such a special experience of Japanese foods. The breakfast was also delicious and traditional and served in a peaceful breakfast room. We loved the experience of the onsen, having dinner, and then taking a stroll by the canal in our yukatans. I would highly recommend this to anyone visiting Japan.

Located right in front of Miyajima Aquarium and a 5-minute walk from Itsukushima Shrine's exit, Mizuhasou offers accommodations in a modern yet traditional décor. Restaurant is on the first floor, clean and spacious rooms on the upper floors with private toilets, and large lockable shower with baths. Staff knows very limited English but very nice and accommodating, friendly homey feel. Our stay came with a very big breakfast, choice of Japanese or western style.

Jukeiso features Japanese-style rooms overlooking the majestic entrance gate (Torii) of Itsukushima-jinja Shrine, only a 5-minute walk from the Unesco World Heritage Site itself. Everything was simply excellent and absolutely perfect. We felt luxuriously pampered in this beautiful ryokan. Its position is great, just minutes from the Itsukushima shrine and the great torii. It is perched on a hill, so rooms have the most perfect view on the torii and the sea. However, this is not an issue with luggage as there is an on-call free shuttle service from/to the port, that even picks you up on arrival, or delivers your luggage when leaving. Kaiseki dinner and japanese-style breakfast were highlights of our stay and absolutely fairly priced considering the half-board rate of the room. We also enjoyed the private onsen for a thirty minute slot that we could choose at check-in. Our room was very spacious - we guessed it could host 3 more people, with beautiful tatami and complete with yukatas to wear and a nice welcome tea served to us upon arrival. Amazing and unforgettable stay!

Located in the World Heritage Miyajima Island, Iwaso features Japanese-style accommodations with beautiful surrounding views. The environment is magical, with a small bridge leading to the forest. The building is splendid, clean, soft and decorated with a refined taste. The diner was exceptional (best sashimi I ever ate), and the onsen was also exceptionnal to enjoy.
