The staff are friendly, helpful and go out of their way for you. The rooms are nice and the property is beautiful. The location is a little less central than other spots in Jambiani so if you’re looking for a quieter spot this is a great option. It’s walking distance to all of the other spots you’d want to go in Jambiani. It’s a beachfront property with fewer people on the beach and not many people trying to sell anything. The food in the restaurant is great. There are monkeys on the property which is fun.

The hotel is perfect, and I especially single out the director and the sisters at the reception, as well as all the staff. Breakfast and dinner are perfect, the beach is beautiful, and the excursions are incredible.

I was at the resort 15-22 May 24 which was off peak season and it was perfect. I opted for full board so breakfast and dinner were included in the price of the stay. Breakfast was buffet that includes egg station (yay for custom omelet every morning) and always had fresh fruit among other things. Dinner during low occupancy was a menu with some options for starter, Main and dessert that changed from one day to the next. I thought this was a fun way to choose my dinner and customize my dining experience. When the hotel had more occupancy, dinner was a buffet with several different meal options. The food was always delicious! There is a mango, avocado, shrimp salad on the pool bar menu; you MUST try it. Resort offers free wifi that was strong and reliable throughout my stay. The staff was very responsive and always looking to ensure you were satisfied and had what you needed. I went to adjust one of the pool chairs and it ‘broke’ and there was a staff member there in 30 seconds to get me another chair. Francis worked most of the days of my stay and was so friendly and offered wonderful customer service. The hotel has a spa and I took full advantage! Michi is awesome, the prices were reasonable and I was able to make multiple appointments because it was quiet at the resort. There is a small gym on site but I chose to walk in the mornings; the road outside the resort is calm and people in the town are very friendly.

The house (it has a kitchen, a big room, a bathroom, a living room and a balcony) was so big and clean. The balcony is excellent to rest or have breakfast. Two steps, the pool! Perfectly location, closer to the beach. The employees are very polite and always ready to satisfy the guests necessities. :)

Staff has been incredibly gentle with us, room was super clean and position is great to avoid super crowded villages. You can reach basically all the island in an hour or so. Food was super good

For example, the breakfast felt really well thought through and there was always a little extra variety each day. Generally, the quality of food was excellent. The staff were extremely friendly and considering the size of the hotel, facilities like the pool were amazing.

Situated in Pingwe, a few steps from Michamvi Pingwe Beach, Hekaya Zanzibar features accommodation with an outdoor swimming pool, free private parking, a garden and a private beach area. We had a fantastic time at Hekaya. Geoffrey and his team gave us a warm welcome and we had a great room with ocean view. The restaurant was very good and we loved the food, breakfast was served to order with everything you could possible ask for. Disuwa made the best cocktail we had all over Zanzibar and we had a great time at the pool and the bar with the team‘s attentive service. Jackline was available via what’s app the entire time. John, the gardener, gave us a lovely tour through his garden and you could see how much pride he takes in his job. The hotel is located directly on the beach and next to the rock restaurant, wonderful & quiet. From the hotel we took a 15mins drive to paje beach and also were able to explore a spice farm and visit a cave.

The best place I’ve stayed in Zanzibar. Cozy, quiet and beautiful. The staff is great and they make you feel at home. Breakfast is delicious. The room is comfortable and clean. Amazing to walk on the beach.
