Very smart, felt very new and it's so well placed near the train station, and town with bus routes on the doorstep to temples etc. Staff were brilliant and made us feel welcome and very well looked after. The room was the most spacious we had in our stay in Japan, and beds very comfortable - we were sad to leave! Muji on the ground floor made a great choice for lunch (we didn't take breakfast) and overall would highly recommend.

Set in Yokohama and with Yokohama Marine Tower reachable within 1.7 km, Oakwood Suites Yokohama offers concierge services, non-smoking rooms, a fitness centre, free WiFi throughout the property and a... The location is great. This hotel is in the Minatomirai area, which is where most attractions lie. You can walk to some beautiful parks, museums, shops and views of the bay very easily. There is a metro station right outside, and another JR line station is 10 minutes away on foot. A great supermarket, restaurants and coffee shops can also easily be found in the first floor of the building. Speaking of which, this hotel has simply stunning views. It doesn't really matter which direction your room is facing. At 47 stories high (at least), looking outside your room feels awe-inducing. If you're lucky, you will get a nice view to Mount Fuji as well! I believe this may be the second tallest building in Yokohama, and it definitely is top 30 in the entire country at 250 meters high. The staff is great, lounge is really classy and placed right in the middle of an actual observation deck (underrated though, so not crowded at all). Rooms are super spacious for Japanese standards, and of excellent build quality. Room cleaning is thorough and suited to your schedule, at least in my experience. Bed is super comfortable, and the desk is great for working a bit in your laptop if you need to edit photos or send emails.

Sotetsu Hotels er staðsett í Yokohama og Yokohama Marine Tower er í innan við 5,9 km fjarlægð. The first thing I really liked was that everything was very new and clean and felt luxurious, which makes sense because the hotel just opened earlier this year. The size of the standard room is also larger compared to other "Sotetsu" hotels that I have stayed at. The toilet and shower is in separate rooms, yet they were still very spacious. The bedroom also had an extra space to fit a small couch. The amenities were all provided in the room, such as combs, toothbrushes, towels, etc. And they were just replaced whenever you have housekeeping. There were also plenty of self laundromats in each floor, which was a godsend because I didn't bring enough clothes and I sweated too much everyday. Checking-in and checking out was an easy process, and there was always staff nearby to help. There was also a fitness/gym room but I did not use it during my stay. The location was quite nice. There was a very delicious bakery right at the lobby, as well a restaurant for the breakfast and other meals. The hotel was located on the new Yokohama Front, at the 4th floor. There were plenty of restaurants in the 1st and 2nd floor. There was also a walkway to Yokohama Station, which was very convenient. They also had a luggage storage space near the lobby. The last thing I really liked the most was that there was a grocery right at the back entrance, near the elevator. This grocery helped me get affordable meals and snack when I didn't want to spend too much money. And this grocery is a lot closer than any other convenience store in the area. It was called Bunkado.

Hotel Comento Yokohama Kannai er 3 stjörnu gististaður í Yokohama, 1,8 km frá Yokohama Marine Tower. Þar er veitingastaður. Brand new hotel. Clean and in a convenient location within the city centre. It's a different experience from most boutique hotels in Japan. My family and i enjoyed our stay.
