Located on the Ile d’Oleron, the Hotel Île De Lumière offers direct access to the beach. It has an outdoor swimming pool, a tennis court and many other facilities. The location is picture perfect, literally. It is on the western coast of the island, so if there is a sunset, you would see it. On our days, it was rainy, but that simply brought a different kind of beauty. The beaches were mostly empty - we had them to ourselves. There are several ways to get to the beach below, and all are an easy, short walk. Yet, the hotel is elevated, so you have a lovely view of the coastline. The room was light and airy, and very clean. There is plenty of storage space, and a nice shower with plenty of pressure. The bed was very comfortable, and there were room darkening curtains. The hotel was full when we were there, but it was still quiet. Breakfast is not included, but we found it to be worth the price. There was a lot of variety in the pastries offered, along with cheese, meat, boiled eggs, cereal, and fruit. We would recommend this place, and would stay again.

This hotel is situated in its own Mediterranean-style gardens on Oleron Island. It offers a heated swimming pool and is just 900 metres from beaches on the French Atlantic coast. The hotel’s location is great, additionally you have the chance to rent a bike in order to explore the island or drive to the beach nearby. The team of the hotel was always forthcoming and approachable and made the stay exceptional and really recommendable!

The hotel Face Aux Flots is located in La Cotinière on the Ile d’Oleron, just 30 metres from the beach and 400 metres from the fishing port. Great location… lovely staff

Set in the heart of Oléron Island is L'Echappéee hotel, just a 6-minute drive from the beach. It offers a shaded garden with a terrace. Guest rooms have a simple décor and feature a flat-screen TV. Hostess was super. Friendly and efficient

Hotel Homard Bleu provides beachfront accommodation in Saint-Trojan-les-Bains. A bar and a restaurant are available on site. The breakfast was great and the morning sunrise was something that you couldn't beat in the world....
