I started playing golf at The Dunes in 2007 on my first trip to Australia and have regularly played there on many trips. The stylish rooms offer good space and have modern shower and plumbing fixtures. The nearby clubhouse offers a menu with good breakfast and lunch. Golf tee times can be reserved, unless the stay is booked at times when course is closed to public play, such as when large multiday tournaments are held. I've found it possible on most trips to the area to get tee times at The Dunes. I usually stay at a small cottage nearby but this time it was unavailable part of my stay. I would consider the Links Lodge at The Dunes for another stay on future visits. There are in room safes offer an extra layer of security for those concerned about safeguarding travel documents. The lodging is fairly new and opened in the last few years. It is separated from the main clubhouse by a short distance and each unit has parking which is separate from common parking areas. My room was a two minute walk to the restaurant and clubhouse.

Plenty of parking in the big courtyard and a very friendly welcome at the reception. We got a second floor room and were happy to have an elevator again after so many stairs in the hotels before. The rooms have a bit of a funny layout, but are nice, clean and quiet. The neighborhood is great - just walk north to Little Italy and you have dozens of restaurants to choose from, or walk south and you're soon in downtown and at the free tram stations. The hotel also has its own wine bar and restaurant, which we enjoyed one evening - decent choice of wine and food and nice staff. We will stay here again, when we come back.

Melbourne is def one of my favourite places in Australia!! Don't miss the Hosier Lane with it's amazing streetart :-)) Also go to the Old Melbourne Goal to have a look at the prison and for sure do the Watch House Experience there.. very impressive (and funny)!! Take a look at the State Library of Victoria and take the lift up to the 6th floor for an amazing view on the main hall in the library.. wow!! When you're done with that go outside to try the strawberry nutella crepe at the stand in front of the building :p Best one I ever had!!! Fingerlicking good. Also go to the Eureka Skydeck to take the lift up to the 88th floor for a gorgeous view over the city. A must! If you still have time left then have a stroll around at the Queen Victoria Market, Southbank, Docklands and the Bourke Street Mall (incl. Block + Royal Arcade). The beach at St.Kilda is not really worth visiting, but def try to go on the thursday evenings in the summer to the Twilight hippy market next to the Luna Park (dec-febr). Cook's Cottage is very cute and you can't miss the Shrine of Remembrance either.. Yes, lots to see and to do in this incredible city.. make sure you have at least 4/5 days to see all and enjoy it the most!

Melbourne Museum en National Gallery of Victoria zijn zeer de moeite waard. Lygonstreet heeft meer dan genoeg keus aan gezellige restaurantjes waar je lekker kunt eten. Architectuur in de stad is echt super!

Melbourne is een heerlijke stad om eindeloos te wandelen. Prachtige parken en Botanische tuinen, een heerlijke wandelpromenade langs de Yarra river met restaurants (South Gate), leuke Italiaanse wijk (Lygon street), gezellige markten (South Melbourne market, Victoria market), interessante musea (Melbourne museum en Shrine of Remembrance) en pleinen (Federation square). Ook Hardware street is aan te bevelen voor restaurants, kijk ook even in de omliggende straatjes met winkels. Tram 35 (free) voor een rondje om de stad is een must. En als je trendy winkeltjes wilt bekijken ga je naar Coventry street, bij South Melbourne market. Minder leuk zijn de vele zwervers overal op straat.

Melbourne is een leuke stad om te bekijken. De streetart, de bibliotheek in het centrum, de Shrine, botanical Gardena, Victoria Market en de Docklands zijn aanraders. Neem de gratis toeristentram. De stad is niet zo levendig als Sydney, maar een dag of 3 hier is de moeite waard.

Melbourne offers a lot in terms of shopping, some nice parks as it is a very green city, a small china town, free public transport within the city center, a nice harbor, the queen victoria market, the Melbourne Aquarium and much more. It is said to be the most european like city in Australia and I certainly would agree, not only because of the good coffee one can find in one of the lovely little passages close to Flinder street.

Goeie wandelschoenen en door het centrum struiken. Hopelijk on hop off bus is ook erg leuk, je kunt op diverse interessante plekken uitstappen en daarna weer verder. Victoria market was op woensdag dicht, wij hebben South Market bezocht, ook zeer de moeite waard, heerlijke massage!

Jammer dat je een kaart moet kopen voor de tram van 6 dollar plus 6 dollar tegoed je kunt dit niet contant betalen en de kaart is alleen geschikt in Melbourne Wel gratis vervoer in de binnenstad met de tram Super de Victoria markt!

The location is few kilometres away from Apollo Bay main street which makes it a super location for travellers who prefer a quiet location to stay. If you are lucky, you might able to see galaxy or star in the night. We saw some sheep outside the holiday park too.

Very impressed by this property's architecture and comfort. Since the exterior views, to the exquisite interior decor. Room really spacious and comfortable, featuring an excellent king size bed and a bigger-than-room balcony. Minibar with all the needs and more. Loved the bathroom size. Incredible pool with lanes, sauna and jacuzzi. Great breakfast. Staff super atencious and polite. Would definitely be back.

We arrived to one of the most kindest and accomodating receptionist I’ve ever met. Then onto The room was unbelievably clean. The park was beautiful and has a really cool little coffee van and set up in the centre, never seen one that nice. Overall had a great feel will 100% come back and also recommend to others.

De locatie is werkelijk optimaal om downtown Melbourne te verkennen. Bovendien uitstekende openbaar vervoer verbindingen nabij. De upperdeck bar is een heel prettige bonus om in de namiddag cocktails en hapjes te nuttigen.
