Free use of bicycles is available at this farm stay and the area is popular for horse riding. The host is incredable person. Super friendly and cheerful. He told us many interesting things about local flora and fauna. The room was super comfy and breakfast delicious. In the morning we tried to milk cows at the neighbor farm and then climbed on Tokatoka mountain with incredable view.

We decided to make a detour to Hamilton for fine dining. Grateful to the owners who nicely received us even though we had booked in the very last minute.

It was perfect: plush (everything high quality), super clean and modern. Loved the fresh baked bread and homemade goods. Staff was wonderful. A good location for a relaxing holiday in Port Waikato, Te Karaka Lodge is a farm stay surrounded by views of the mountain. The property features a private beach area, outdoor swimming pool and private parking among other facilities. This 5-star farm stay offers full-day security and luggage storage space. Free WiFi is available throughout the property, as well as a terrace and a restaurant. The property also offers accommodation for disabled guests. Everything is perfect about this place. The road from Auckland to the property was a bit rocky but totally worth the trouble. It is such a quiet relaxing hideaway and this is what I have always envisioned of NZ. Aaron and Danielle are wonderful hosts and make you feel welcomed and at ease the whole time. The dinner prepared by Chef Dom is also superb. Have to come back again for a longer stay!
