We stayed in the penthouse suite; it needs to be refurbished. Everything was either marked or had dents in it. We also didn’t have hot water for two mornings

First time to Bruges-as charming and interesting as any...
First time to Bruges-as charming and interesting as any French village. Just about the right amount of art/ Museums, churches/catherdrals, interesting sights/ old architecture, wonderful restaurants and city walks. For example, the Groeningemuseum is a wonderful chronology of Flemish and Low country art-artists we'd never heard of. Church of Our Lady is filled with art including a Michaelangelo ( try to catch when the organ is being played ). You'll find locally producing chocolate shops which were recommended as well as the chain shops. We were there for two full days and didn't see everything we wanted. A third day would have allowed for more sights at a more relaxed pace.

Bruges is full of stunning architecture and history.
Bruges is full of stunning architecture and history. It feels warm and friendly and is small enough to easily explore by foot. In mid to late October the city was not overwhelmed with tourists so it felt relaxed and no where was too busy. The city is extremely clean and there were no pigeons!

Very picturesque place to visit.
Very picturesque place to visit. We enjoyed the canal boat trips and the market in the main square. The Groningen museum is interesting with paintings from all eras. The Half Moon Brewery tour is good if you don't mind climbing steep stairs.

Bruges is beautiful, around every corner is another stunning street with charm. Unfortunately, lots of others came for the same reason and you will be sharing your experience with hundreds of other tourists. We were in Bruges in early October and it was crowded, I can't imagine what the busy months must be like!
A canal trip was a fun way to start our day. Walking around is enjoyable and easy to navigate. Do not go to the chocolate museum, it is a waste of money. It was very crowded and boring.

Lovely hotel right in the centre of Bruges, walking distance to literally everything. Boat trips nearby as the hotel is on the canal. Loads of restaurants, bars, shops, the Belfry; a beautiful city to visit. Easy to park in the hotel car park. Very friendly staff. We were greeted outside 😃 Breakfast was excellent and the bar was lovely. Room with balcony perfect. Breakfast staff, reception staff and bar staff all particularly friendly. We have stayed in lots of hotels and we think this was the best!
A very good place to stay for exploring Bruges. The location is approx. 10 minutes walk from the city center. The place is owned by a family who will do everything to make your visit perfect. Rooms have perfect cleaning and a fine decoration in Thai style. The price level is far below what you have to pay in the city centre. Baan Siam can definitely be recommended.
The hotel was well located, an easy walk to everything in the Bruges city centre. The arrival area was beautiful and our room was both spacious and comfortable. The bathroom was small but well appointed, with everything that we needed close to hand.
Small hotel on the canal right in the heart of Bruges , clean rooms , comfy beds , best of all though were the staff , they really made us feel at home and a credit to the hotel.
