We recently stayed for three days in Whānganui, and it was hands down the best accommodation experience we've ever had. From the moment we arrived, Alan and Lois welcomed us with warm smiles and genuine hospitality that instantly made us feel at home. They are wonderful conversationalists, sharing fascinating stories and insights about the area. The space itself was immaculate and luxurious, with every detail thoughtfully curated to create an atmosphere of true elegance and comfort. Waking up to the delicious aroma of Lois's fabulous waffles each morning was a treat in itself – they were simply the best! We felt truly pampered and appreciated every moment of the "royal treatment." Alan and Lois are classy, warm, and incredibly gracious hosts who made this stay unforgettable. Staying with them was the best decision we could have made, and we’re already looking forward to returning. Highly recommended for anyone looking for an outstanding experience in Whānganui!

    Very quiet, private and cosy for a couple with a very comfortable bed and excellent shower facility. There were nice touches provided by Julie such as breakfast cereals, yogurt, juice and biscuits. The garden outlook and private patio added to a very pleasant experience.     Tucked away in a quiet suburban setting to the west of the city centre this air conditioned garden flat has all the amenities for a very comfortable stay. The bed was excellent, and access to the forest and lake was a bonus. Our hostess was welcoming and charming, and made sure that we settled in with a minimum of fuss.
