The location, the food, the staff, the room, the pool. It was ALL great!! I have only great things to say about my stay here. The location and proximity to the ferry and market is perfect.
Hippocampus Beach Resort enjoys a beachfront location on Malapascua Island, a 35-minute boat ride from world famous dove site, Monad Shoal. It provides cozy rooms with private balcony.

Despite the issues I mentioned, there were still a few things I liked about the resort. The location was peaceful and serene, providing a relaxing atmosphere that allowed for a quiet stay. I also appreciated that the property had beautiful landscaping, which helped create a pleasant environment.
The staff, though not always consistent, were generally polite and helpful when needed. Additionally, the room itself was spacious and the bed was comfortable, which made for a good night’s sleep after a long day.
While there were some drawbacks to my stay, these aspects of the property helped make the overall experience more tolerable.
What a wonderful place to find. Very organised fun chaos.

The Rasta smoothie were EXCELLENT ( main road behind Logon Beach) . The diving was something that will never be forgotten - Gato Island and the Thresher sharks with DIVE NATION - a wonderful team. It's a quaint little town enough to bring peace, relaxation and serenity. I like North beach a lot. Water is amazingly crystal blue clear! This is exactly what i was looking for. I had to ride in one of those motorbikes to get to North beach from where I stayed The locals are helpful and friendly, typical of the Filipino hospitality. The guy who took me to North beach referred me to the "market place" where i can buy cheaper food and as an alternative to the restaurants by the beach. I definitely enjoyed this place especially the beach.

It is a beautiful island filled with helpful people. Very close to beaches everywhere and a half days snorkling boat tour is offered to you constantly and very worth it. Snorkling with black tip sharks is super close. A lot of small shops and food places.

NOTHING. Worst experience ever. Staff is terrible. DONT TRUST THE PAYMENT POLICY EITHER. They announce the payment is in advance, but later they make you pay at the property with a fee of 5%. They even call the tourist police. The woman in the counter is very arrogant. She start shouting at us in front of everyone. Don’t dive here, Atlas divers are the cheapest ones and with good equipment.
Rooms are full of ants. Pool is dirty. Shower has no pressure (if you have long hair, you won’t be able to have a proper shower)
The location, the style, the room, the view, the kindness, the food! The terrace of our room was amazing and the restaurant area is so beautiful! All the hotel is decorated with so much taste and you can see every detail is thought of. Plus the food is delicious, with a surprising variety considering it's a tiny island. I struggle to think there can be a better place in Malapascua. And last but not least the owners are so kind and we had such nice chats and hope to meet them again.
The staff were amazing, always very accommodating such as providing breakfast at the early hour, washing our clothes and providing a snorkel for the entire time. The location is fantastic, right in the corner of the island and next to a private beach. Would recommend the AC room as our original room with a fan was too hot. Would recommend
Located in front of the beach, so you can enjoy swimming or just kick back and relax, and besides, there are many restaurants along the beach.
The staff is very helpful and friendly. If you want to go to Kalanggaman Island, they can arrange the tour for you. We really enjoyed staying here. Thank you very much!
The people it’s nice, the location it’s good, they have the option to wash your clothes, the bed it’s comfortable and there is a lot of space in the room, they have generator in case there is a power cut, ( in my case was everyday when I stayed in the island)
