It is a great place to visit during the summer, with lots of people in town and at the restaurants by the pier promenade. The city center is quite compact, so you can walk from the railway station in one end, to the football stadium in the other end, in about 25 minutes. The city is by the ocean, so there are a lot of beaches and places to swim just outside the city proper. The nightlife is quite good too, especially during weekends.KjetilNorway - Scored 8.08.0
Small city that you could easily see in a day.
Small city that you could easily see in a day. In winter it offers a very relaxing and peaceful getaway, and an opportunity to explore the tourist sights without the crowds. Gamlebyen (old town) was my favourite, offering cafes, boutiques, and history. It is very easy to walk around the city and also jump on the free ferry that runs along the river every 15mins.LauraAustralia
