Perfect location to explore the city and only a short easy walk from Central train station . The communication from the host was brilliant , he gave us lots of advice on what to see and where to eat and checked in daily via WhatsApp. to wish us a good day and check everything was ok . The room was spotless and the bed very comfortable . We only stayed 2 nights but we found our room had been cleaned and fresh towels after the 1st night There was a little noise from the bar below but the shutters and windows blocked most of this out . The bar is definitely worth a visit though . Breakfast wasn't included the booking but the dining room downstairs is open 24/7 with a complimentary breakfast and Coffee Water fruit juice and cakes available whenever you want them . This is a superb touch and makes you feel they have gone all out to ensure you're stay is fantastic . We had an early morning flight and we were given a phone number for the taxi . Superb service , punctual and the driver was lovely even at 4am I would not hesitate to book again when i am next in Reggio Calabria . The small personal touches really made a difference to the stay
Set in the heart of the town, close to the national museum of the Magna Graecia, the hotel presents itself as the ideal base to explore this wonderful, historic area. Free WiFi is available...

central neat museum and promenade and shopping area
Reggio Calabria is a great place to stay. Good bars, restaurants, shops and amenities. Superb views across the Strait of Messina to Sicily from beachside bars.
It’s also a great base. We travelled to Tropea by train and Messina in Sicily by ferry - both great day trips - and transport is cheap compared to the UK.
Prices in bars and restaurants in Calabria were good.
Go before everyone finds out about it!!!!

Reggio Calabria, in my opinion, is the jewel of the south. I feel it's underrated. Beautiful scenery, with the wonderful Lungomare. Lots of restaurants and cafes to choose from, not forgetting Cesare's gelati kiosk, it's the best in Reggio. However, I would avoid the cafes on the beach because they are more expensive than the ones on the side streets. Great shopping along Giuseppe Garibaldi Corso. Can't wait to go back there!

Reggio di Calabria is a beautiful and elegant city, largely dating from after the 1908 earthquake. Many buildings are in the elegant Liberty style.
The Lungomare along the Straits of Messina is a great walk with views of Sicily and Etna. It has huge magnolias and pretty buildings. You can watch the sun set over Sicily.
Via Garibaldi is a lively pedestrian street with many shops and cafes.
The Aragonese Castle is definitely worth a visit.
The Archaeology Museum is a must see with Ancient Greek art and the famous Riace Bronzes.
It is a quick, 30 minute train ride to fascinating Scilla.

There was a lot of garbage in the streets.
There was a lot of garbage in the streets. Looks like it’s not collected very often which is a pity. Most pavements need to be redone as there are a lot of cracks and potholes. The main shopping area is very clean and well kept though. Trains are very punctual. Only had one delay but it wasn’t their fault as their was a fire somewhere. And only one hour delay so the train after that was on schedule.
One other thing, the evening train going to Lamezia terme on a Saturday evening was full of youngsters and the boys were extremely rowdy and noisy to the extent of making me feel uncomfortable even though I wasn’t traveling alone.

The decoration was amazing. more suitable for honeymooners. Including champagne and lots of hearts spread throuout the room.
The lady that received us gave us some pointers on where to eat and cared enough to ask us what kind of breakfast we'd prefer. Everything was tip top! This was definately the best breakfast we had in italy!
The house includes a very big balcony. you can stay there and do some sun bathing.
The shared kitchen is equipped with everything you may need
Great modern hotel. Well built & clean fresh, pleasant staff. Little out of centre but that was fine. Restaurant was excellent & very reasonable.
Great value for money
Only negative - No tea/coffee making facility in Standard Room. Have brought that to their attention as cost minimal.
Would recommend & would stay again
I liked the place, good value for money, clean and straightforward. I don't recall having been in hostels like this anywhere else in south Italy, only abroad in other countries. And they are the perfect solution when you don't look for extra services, but just for a place where to sleep.
The rooms were excellent, like hotel rooms and with small fridge and some necessities, as well in the bathroom. The host was very nice and helpfull, he took us to the beach, helped us with finding restaurant and what to see in the city. I would highly recommend this accommodation!
