Fabulous gem in Cobh. We rented the whole guesthouse (for 8 people in 6 rooms) for the price of a couple of rooms in a hotel. Walking distance from the town centre and lots of bars, restaurants and coffee shops. We'll be back!

Lovely town, with some nice small shops and super pubs. Breakfast was difficult to source in the recommended restaurants, as they were all full. Great atmosphere...a mix of locals, who were very friendly, and visitors to the town. Being a cruise ship port, there were lots of tourists with the buzz that goes with that. Would recommend for a weekend. Also train station is in in the center of the town so it's easy to walk to and get the train to Cork city for those who might want to visit the city. The frequent bell ringing from the Cathedral is quaint and melodic, although a little loud early in the morning, if staying lose by.DeeIreland - Scored 1010

I liked the scenery, boats and the view of Spike Island.
I liked the scenery, boats and the view of Spike Island. I was disappointed that the restaurant in the hotel and everywhere else was closed at 8.45. The pubs were all open and alive with activity. I would have liked to have listened to traditional Irish Music somewhere while having a nice meal and drinks. The Titanic was very nice and Kellys. Beautiful little town, just not a lot to do. It's quiet and relaxing. However, it's not too far from Cork if you're looking for more things to do. So we stopped at Cork before heading to Cobh for the night. The pub we went to in Cobh was great though and was lively! So it was the perfect place to end our Ireland trip before heading back home.AAnonymous

Bedrooms ensuite are extremely large, beds/mattresses perfect and one of rooms with a wonderful view of the lake. Breakfast very comprehensive, egg dishes, salmon etc. every day. But really unique are Marie & Joe! They anticipate your needs & wishes and give you really the feeling of beeing at home. Extremely responsive, kind and helpful. She made a reservation for us to eat out, chatted with us, made us tea and apple pie on arrival and cooked the best breakfast we had in Ireland with home made scones and soda bread.
