I like Ubud, lots places with good massage and food.
I used to drive a lot, hundreds of kilometers by scooter nmax to different locations.
I didn't spend much time exploring Ubud temples and don't recommend at all sacred monkey forest, there are other places with monkeys. Morning is your time for places like these, later it's overcrowded.
I moved to Nusa Dua from Ubud and quite likely will come back there.

If you're into wellness or you're a foodie, Ubud is the place. Such a range of healthy and high quality eateries, some great cafes, a few excellent yoga centres, and some inexpensive and high quality massage. There is a plethora of spas and temples, with lots going on in the evenings too. It's a chance to meet like minds, and do something good for your body and soul.

The best you can stay in Ubud area. The breakfast is excellent and covers all tastes. The staff is polite and willing to serve you. The facilities are around the mountain and the river in the nature. The spa and the team are experts. We stayed two people in the villa with private pool and mountain view. I highly recommend it! Thanks for the perfect stay Royal Pita Maha !
lovely place outside ubud in the middle of the Jungle. we stayed in the villa with private pool, which may be the smallest of all but you will be all by yourselves when you go for a swim. at night you hear nothing nur the noises of the jungle.
the hotel staff is the nicest we‘ve ever met.
food not haute cuisine but absolutely fine.
I have lived at Ibah before and I must say that it always delivers. The new management was exceedingly good. Good communication and solved some issues perfectly. I am very satisfied and will book at Ibah next time again. One of Ubud's best hotels in my opinion and I have lived at most of their competitors.
Everything! From the staff to the facilities everything was just perfect! For people who are afraid of insects I highly recommend staying here… the cleaning is amazing and the staff is always ready to help you;) one of the best hotels in Bali for sure!
- The villa and the private pool was nice.
- away from the noisy road, which made it feel like a sanctuary
- access to the spa (but not the best massages in Ubud. there are better options, for cheaper too)
