The hotel was lovely the room was clean and well decorated with great amenities. We paid for a pet package and it was fabulous lots of extras for the dog and access outside straight from our room. The restaurant and food were great and being able to take the dog was a bonus as it meant we didn’t have to eat in the room. Will definitely recommend and book again if in the area.
Thank you!!

Just had a 1-night stop here to break up a long train journey. Plenty of reasonably priced accommodation near the railway station and lots of eating options in the town centre as well as quite a few good pubs.

Carlisle is my hometown but have lived in Guernsey for 35yrs. I bought my Mum back to visit family and friends, so spent a lot of time with them, going out for lunches and dinners. We visited Silloth and Gretna Green and i wish i could’ve stayed longer to visit the Lake District. Carlisle is a perfect base town to stay in to visit all these places. There are some renovations going on in the town centre at the moment which didn’t spoil our shopping experience. Everyone we met were very friendly and we felt safe at all times. I can’t wait to go back for another visit! Our favourite place to eat was the Crown pub opposite our hotel. The food was lovely and they have live music on a weekend. We went to a little place called The Thorne Tree Bistro for a Sunday dinner which was amazing and the staff couldn’t do enough for you, would definately recommend.

We arrived late afternoon, so went for a lovely walk by the river us to Carlisle castle, but unfortunately we were half to closing time, so too late to go in.
We needed to do laundry, but couldn’t find any.
Maybe helpful to put in folder or at reception desk helpful tips.

Carlisle is a place of variety, it has a lovely cathedral, an historic castle, market cross and ancient town hall, Tullie museum, the river Eden, several lovely parks, an indoor market and all quite central and easy to walk round.
Plenty of cafes, restaurants, pubs in the central area.
As with many cities a few shops have closed but there's still plenty to look round.

Carlisle Station hotel is ideally located for anyone traveling by train, being right next door to the station. It was spotlessly clean. The room was well appointed with a very comfortable bed. A lovely bonus was the free drink offer, and very ecologically sound idea, for not having the room serviced every day. A really first class hotel.
Breakfast was very good with a choice of fruity options as well as standard English breakfast fare. Hotel was well located being within walking distance of Carlisle town centre. A number of food and drink options not far from hotel. Room was reasonably appointed and comfortable - commensurate with price bracket and area.
A gorgeous hotel in a beautiful location. Perfectly situated close to Carlisle. The room was comfortable, bright and clean.having use of the leisure facilities was an added bonus!
