We have been staying in this hotel every year for last 10 years before we take ferry. We love Bilbao.. A lovely city and this hotel is very centrally located. However each time after travelling 8 hours from south.. the reception at the desk is unfriendly... they are oblivious to the fact that we have stayed there 2 to 3 nights on each occasion for so many years.... never upgraded This year we stayed on arrival and found the standard had slipped somewhat... so on our return we have decided to stay elsewhere 🙂 I've never had breakfast and only once dinner... when it was raining.. dining room like a refectory and Bilbao has way more to offer!

Perfect location with easy access to the Old Town and public transport. Staff were friendly and helpful, always with a warm greeting and a smile. The rooms were comfortable and very clean. We paid for breakfast so we could decide spontaneously, and it's definitely worth it - always fresh and delicious. Would happily stay here again.
