It is a lovely appointed and very well cared for lodge. Family run business and their care for the place and the guests is tangible. For us the location of the lodge was a great bonus as the lodge is away from the main drag and people but within a very comfortable lovely walk to town.

The area was very peaceful, and the gardens pretty. It's quite a walk from the sunset Moai - about 40 mins, but nowhere in town is too far away. The staff were helpful, and tried their best with my limited Spanish and their limited English!
I was given a free upgrade to a huge room, with a comfy bed and good, hot shower. It was a little cold at night, but they happily have me an extra blanket.
They booked me in to see the cultural show, which was fab and I got a front row seat as they're obviously affiliated with it.

the rainy weather a few days made it harder to enjoy the sights, so check your timing.

Easter Island is a very special place. The history and culture are really remarkable, and the Moai are amazing. It is a long journey to get there, but it certainly is a once-in-a-lifetime experience.

The trip was unique and special, there is lots to do and see. If you like hiking there are some cool spots. The Maio's are special and worth visiting. I would suggest hiring a car to get around and a guide to see the attractions.

CONS:
- Too much of a "money-grab" was our experience.
CONS:
- Too much of a "money-grab" was our experience. Felt like we were looked at like "walking dollars".
- Over-priced EVERYTHING. I know it's a remote island, but seriously!
- Too often, the card machines were "not working", so they wanted cash. We would walk away and return a few minutes later or longer, wait until we see a local use a credit card, and then make our purchase.
- TOO MANY LOOSE DOGS!! Their excrement is everywhere, many are in poor health. One followed us from waterfront to our hotel, and we had to fend off 40+ other dogs (no exaggeration) that got aggressive. We fed and watered this skinny dog, and walked it back to the waterfront area where "it found us" when we went back out in the afternoon.
- Basically two beaches where you can swim - but in reality, one. And it's 18km away from the populated side of the island.
- Many dusty roads driven by aggressive drivers.
PROS:
- The island is beautiful!
- A few nice hikes.

There are many great restaurants, especially if you like the fish food!
Those moais are magical and sunrise tour is must!
Some things are very expensive there in Easter Island, example
renting a bike is 25€/24h !
I understand that some things in so isolated place is more expensive, but I think they have cartel in some business. Maybe they all don't understand that even they want to avoid the competition with each other, they will still have that competition with other vacation places. If people think it's too expensive, they go somewhere else.

You need to have interest in the history of the island.
You need to have interest in the history of the island. Showing up for a "resort style vacation" would be the wrong reason to go. We did a lot of homework and it was almost emotional to be there, especially after the island was run into the ground by greed.... You do need a guide to enter the parks. Sunscreen and water is your friend. You can stamp your passport, but not open on weekends.

i am so happy that we chose to stay here during our Easter island stay. The staff were so friendly and kind, rooms were impeccably clean and comfortable, and the facilities were great. We particularly loved the hot tub!
Location is close to the airport (about 15 minute walk) and pretty much in the centre of town.
Breakfast was INCREDIBLE. I looked forward to it every morning. They catered for dietary requirements so well.
Overall, fantastic stay and couldn’t recommend it more!
Such a good surprise !
Sincerely this hotel has 4 stars level rooms !
The social area is in a middle of a mini jungle very pretty. Convenient kitchen , barbecue.
The beautiful swimming pool is large enough to swim and to relax .
This is a quiet place and the owners will respect your privacy.
I m very picky , and I really love this place.
The price (about 100US$) is the good one compare to the price of many terrible hostels of the island.
The hotel is perfectly located just on the outer part of town, which makes it super easy to got in and out for the visits and tours on the island.
The staff, and in particular the day and night managers (both named Pablo) as well as the chef for breakfast are going to extra mile to help and support anything you might need during your stay.
Rooms are beautiful, modern, well equipped and super clean.
Violeta was an amazing host. She informed us about the Island, things to do around and lend us a book to read about Rapa Nui
She also organised to be collected from airport for free
The Cabaña was very clean and served the purpose.
From the balcony we could see the sea and enjoy the sunset and sound of the waves
It was just a few minutes walk to Hanga Roa centre, about 15 mins from the airport and 5-10 mins from
the restaurants. The staff were very friendly and helped us with a problem we had on the island.
