Not friendly people there.
Not friendly people there. Everyone was in a rush and in a bad mood. Maybe because it was raining all day and the Superstore down the road had computer problems and people could not check out. It was a disaster. Also, the Costco parking near by was INSANE! I wasn't even going to that store but rather a neighbouring restaurant and this guy in his fancy Audi was trying to pass cars in the oncoming lane on the street leading to the Costco parking lot. He almost hit me as I was leaving a restaurant parking lot as the cars were stopped for me. He was such an A-HOLE, getting out of his car to yell in my face. Burnaby is a distance from Vancouver. I did not realize this when I booked. It seems to be a business area and I was a tourist. Services were spot on from dining options to taxi availability. Every time I called a taxi, it arrived almost immediately and I was cheerfully driven into Vancouver.Peters - Scored 1010

An amazing neighborhood of Vancouver, you get the quietness and the green landscapes without the heavy traffic of downtown. We had access to a number of restaurants mostly asian, and access to many places of interest including Metropolis mall on Kingsway. Lots of great places to discover, and central park is great. Some areas are a little less desirable but overall found it safe and easy to get around. Traffic can be ok-to-horrible fast, so awareness of the busy times is key. Great Sushi at "Sushi Modo".AAnonymous

The apartment is very spacious with a terrace in the garden and it was very convenient to have a fully equipped kitchen with washing machine and dryer. Our host Shelley was very friendly and helped us with anything we needed, umbrellas for the rain, a basketball for our sons and even a homegrown lettuce from her garden: thank you very much for everything - next time in Vancouver we would like to come back and stay here again!!KRosenfeldGermany
