The breakfast offerings were very good and the staff very attentive. The location whilst a couple of Kms from Leura township was very nice and there was a local bus stop right opposite, which provided a good service. For overseas people it was good that you could use your own credit card - no need to obtain a special transport card.

Mountain Heritage Hotel, hotel in Leura

Perched on the edge of a ridge, 984 feet from the heart of Katoomba’s town center, this 4.5-star hotel offers panoramic views of the World Heritage Blue Mountains.

The Mountain Heritage decor is set back in time, with historic adornment from past years. Although a museum of relic, the Heritage had very clean rooms, air-conditioning in the room, charging points near the couch, comfortable beds and pillows, new linen, and oversized towels which was a very nice touch. The staff were friendly, reception has a beautiful big bowl of fruit and water nearby that you can help yourself to and the view of the Blue Mountains from the restaurant is beautiful. You can order affordable meals and A La Carte breakfast from the restaurant or, order the buffet breakfast which we didn't as we thought it alot at $45.00 per person. Good proximity to the township & Blue Mountains walks if you have a car but, also walkable.

I love Leura and never get tired of visiting. We ate at the Fairmont Resort because it was so convenient having a 5 and 7 year old. We were only able to stay for 2 nights and were very sad to leave because our stay was so enjoyable.

Leura is a lovely village-like place in the mountains.

Leura is a lovely village-like place in the mountains. Cold in winter, it is very popular and busy on weekends. Lovely old estates and homes keep it interesting amongst beautiful gardens. Plenty of shopping, hiking, lookouts in the area and close to Katoomba.

Leura is full of quirky shops, cafes etc.

Leura is full of quirky shops, cafes etc. For the more active there is some wonderful bush walks around Leura or for less active many accessible lookouts. Winter is particularly lovely with the chance of snow. Spring sees the mall looking its grandest with cherry blossoms and festivals. Summer in the mountains is cooler than towns on the plains with fabulous Christmas meals. Autumn is a must for the spectacular colour of the deciduous trees. Beautiful area full of wonderful gardens.

Remember that feeling when you visited your grandma and everything in her little house was so cozy, clean and welcoming? Then you should definately book this little treasure! Even a load of DVDs available for you to have a movie night! Everything is made with much love and care. Had a great stay and some hikes start directly in front of the door. Leura is a supersweet location in the Blue Mountains. 100% recommend!

Spacious quiet and nestled in a valley with a spring winding through the garden. Filled with wildlife and a real home away from home. Little details counted: bird seed, candles, lush towels, essential supplies in the kitchen and Netflix. The cottage was beautifully clean and totally private. only a few minutes drive from the Leura Mall.
