The location was really good. Close to Queen Street, 5 minute walk and close to the walk bridge over to South Bank. You can also catch the City Cat over to South Bank and back for free making the walking shorter if preferable. Close to Convenience Stores. The apartment was very modern I loved it. Brisbane is becoming a very futuristic city. The Star Casino development is stunning. It’s becoming an exciting city!!!

At the meeting point of Australia’s Sunshine Coast and Gold Coast, laidback Brisbane is spread around the meandering river running through it. The river’s arty South Bank is home to Australia’s largest modern art gallery, tranquil gardens and an artificial beach. Just opposite is the towering skyline of Brisbane's CBD, where many hotels in Brisbane city centre are located.
Nearby are the botanic gardens and Queen Street Mall, the most popular Brisbane shopping spot. More shopping centres are found all over the city, and the out-of-town malls include one in the Indooroopilly suburb by the foothills of Mount Coot-tha.
This green hill offers fabulous city views and has a planetarium, nature reserve and yet more botanic gardens. In Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary to the south you can hug one of the loveable animals, while Australia Zoo – Steve Irwin’s legacy – is a good day trip.
Brisbane is a very leafy city and one of its parks – Wickham Park – contains the Old Windmill, Brisbane’s oldest building. To the north-east, the Fortitude Valley suburb is known for its vibrant music scene and Chinatown. Across the river in Woolloongabba is The Gabba or Brisbane Cricket Ground, and nearby is the bohemian West End district.
As well as central accommodation, Booking.com also offers hotels near Brisbane Airport in a north-eastern coastal suburb.
To be honest - Brisbane is dull by world standards.
To be honest - Brisbane is dull by world standards. It is ruined by outrageously expensive parking (more expensive than Sydney) and nightmare traffic. I find fewer and fewer reasons to come into the CBD. Too expensive for parking, the CBD is dull at night, expensive accommodation (more expensive than Sydney and other Australian cities). Specialist retailers in books, music etc have withered on the vine leaving a retail mix just like any other place. Cities like the Gold Coast, Sunshine Coast or Cairns offer better experiences and value than Brisbane.

Brisbane has worked very hard to create a visitor friendly city. There are public toilets everywhere! The buses, trains and ferries all have ridiculously low prices, and you don't need tickets if you have a payWave card. The River Cruise is a good method of understanding the city.
Walking the boardwalks around the river is a pleasure.
The Air-Train from the Airport to CBD runs from 4.30am to catch the first flights going out at 8am. The South Bank (South of the CBD) is for fun and relaxation. The Performing Arts precinct is enormous.
It is subtropical, and rightfully called the sunshine state.
Take the train south to the Gold Coast, it's not far, and its fabulous.

Brisbane is a beautiful city with many things to attract a tourist.
A ride down the river on a 'CAT' is a great way to spend a few hours and finish up overlooking the river from one of the many relaxing cafe/bars.

Brisbane is a remarkable city, we love it.
Brisbane is a remarkable city, we love it. There is plenty to see and enjoy. We went to a Musical Theatre presentation of "Wicked" which was great, there are Ferry rides to get you to many enjoyable destinations. Restaurants, Art Galleries, a great modern Museum and very easy to get around on foot, Ferry, or bus. Southbank has many great restaurants, a favourite is Viet Delights.

I love the Southbank area of Brisbane.
I love the Southbank area of Brisbane. It's lovely to sit at a riverside cafe/restaurant in the sunshine. The area has a great vibe and lots of eateries to choose from. I'd like to have a little more time to explore Brisbane better.

The hotel location is amazing - conveniently positioned to everything in the Brisbane CBD.
The staff at reception are so helpful and courteous, and happily answered any queries I had. The hardworking cleaning staff are friendly and happy to assist with any concerns. Likewise, the staff working in the restaurant on Level 1. The restaurant provided a wonderful buffet breakfast - and a lovely nightcap drink in the evening. Added Bonus: was opening the window curtains to see a fantastic view of Southbank (we were not expecting river views).
The location to everything in Southbank is exceptional! Far enough away to not have the noise but close enough to walk down and appreciate everything that’s going on in Southbank. The hotel is in such a fantastic location for exploring and going into the CBD. The room is reasonably sized with a very comfortable bed and lovely linen. The hotel reception is modern and open with the staff being very helpful and friendly. Would return here in a heartbeat!
Much cheaper than any of the hotels or apartments but so much better. Big living space, good kitchen, nice bathroom, great balcony and very comfortable bed. Wifi was excellent, staff friendly and terrific location (with the city a short walk away and right on the walking bridge to get across to Southbank. Facilities were excellent with a well presented gym, heated lap pool and lovely spa.
Excellent location if going to QPAC. Awesome restaurants and pubs close by - LOVE Southbank Beer Garden and The Pig & Whistle. Beautiful walk across Victoria Bridge over to Brisbane CBD - beautiful breakfast at The Pancake Manor, be sure to book though! The view of the river and city was spectacular.
The hotel was located close to CityCat and Ferry services, close to Fortitude Valley and other CBD services. The room was spacious and matched the images online. The Hotel staff were professional, friendly and helpful in navigated directions to specific locations in the area.
