Like the fact that it is not as commercialised as Stellenbosch and Franschoek. A must see are the cheetahs at Ashia and hearing about their conservation. (No contact with the cheetahs which is great) Fabulous scenery.

Unfortunately we went there on the coldest weekend where we had to go watch our sons rugby, but the house where we stayed was warm and beautiful. Paarl is a nice town and we will definitely go back there in the summer.

Went to the Taal Monument and was fascinated by the history of the Afrikaans language as depicted by this fantastic monument. If I have the chance I will bring my kids along. It makes me wonder why similar monuments are not put up for the other languages? Surprised it is not on the list of popular places in Paarl.

As Paarl is my home town I’m probably a little biased.

As Paarl is my home town I’m probably a little biased. The town has much to offer. The historic Main Street, so put on your walking shoes. For those travellers who enjoy wine Paarl has a lot to offer. There are plenty of wine estates to visit including the KWV winery. A visit to Paarl Rock is a must with stunning views across the valley. Paarl is home to the Afrikaans language visit the Taal Monument. For those travellers who want a relaxing break, Paarl is for you. Paarl unlike other Wineland towns like Stellenbosch and Franshoek is a lot less quieter with fewer tourists. A gem not to be missed.

Paarl has a very interesting Main Street if you enjoy architecture: there are a couple of centuries of architectural styles here. The scenery and surrounding mountains are spectacular and of course … let’s not forget all those gorgeous wine estates, tastings and food pairings.

Of the Cape Winelands Paarl is the least attractive and although we have seen lots of fab attractions it’s and wineries the majority are readily accessible from Franschhoek. Recommendations Fairview cheese and wine tasting - absolutely amazing Spice route - great wine tasting and artisan shops including cape brewing and chocolate tasting - Brenda’s Babylonstoren- incredible - shops, wine farm and tasting and the gardens!!!! Must do Brookdale restaurant snd wine farm - wonderful and worth the long windy off beat road to get there - food was just delicious Laborie - the wine farm and accommodation are wonderful with farm shop and 3 amazing restaurants on site Paarl golf club - fab course and unbelievable hospitality at club house - super value too The Bootlegger cafe in Main - brilliant spot for a decent flat white and delicious breakfast The language monument for history and fab views

Everything, Wow- a must stay for a couple while in Cape Town. About an hour drive from centre of Cape Town and you are in the mountains. The lodge has everything you need well done accommodation, feels like camping but not and all the luxuries of a hotel stay, quiet, secluded, views and the Wagyu meat products are awesome. We also did the Whiskey pairing, only thing is don’t plan on driving afterwards, but also amazing. This is one stay we shall be returning too.

This flat is conveniently located close to both Paarl Girls and Boys' High Schools. We stayed here for Paarl Interschools and could walk everywhere we needed to go. Save and easy parking and easy access. The flat is beautifully decorated and thought through. Very special touches with snacks and emergency supplies in the bathroom. A gem in the heart of Paarl!

As a self catering unit they dont serve breakfast but it has all the required equipment including a washing machine that will help you to make your stay comfortable. It was sweltering hot so it was quite refreshing to step into your place with the air-conditioner screaming "Welcome to Cold Air".
