The common areas and room were clean and smelled nice. The beds were ok for one night, but a bit firm for me for much longer. The location of the hotel is perfect for a short shopping trip to Erie. We would stay again, if not for the following...

I will never use Booking.com again for a reservation.
I will never use Booking.com again for a reservation. Upon making reservations I did state that I had a AAA membership on a drop down menu and I would get a discount off of my room rate, which I did not receive! After inquiring at the hotel, they informed me that I should have gotten a discount for each room, that they were very sorry they were not able to help me with that situation, I would have to contact Booking.com to resolve this issue. After calling Booking.com two times and being on hold for 20 minutes only to be disconnected, I emailed them several times about this and still have heard nothing! The Red Roof Inn informed me that my room rate with the AAA membership discount should have been $157.17 per room per night, and I was charged $169.00 per room per night. I am VERY DISAPPPOINTED because I feel I definitely should have had a CREDIT applied to my account after being charged the wrong amount! AGAIN, your attention to this matter would be GREATLY APPRECIATED!

Visiting Erie is such a pleasure!
Visiting Erie is such a pleasure! We love the beaches and cruising through Presque Isle. Took many boat tours and loved them all. Very informational! And we love going to Presque Isle Casino and watching the horse races. Lots of shopping and restaurants to choose from. Only approximately 2 hr drive from Pittsburgh! (longer car trips are more difficult for us now). Such a beautiful city and very easy to find your way around. We recommend it to everyone who hasn't been there yet!

When the weather in Erie is good it is spectacular and there is no better place on earth to spend time. It is fabulous. There was so much happening, you couldn't find time to do everything you wanted to do. The peninsula, Sarah's, the dock, meeting friends and family, festivals, Erie Seawolves, dining out at the bayfront, shopping, Erie Bluffs State Park, fireworks Friday and Saturday.

We only stayed for a weekend, but the erie beaches are nice, presque isle is very beautiful! But the area of erie is not it. Doesn't seem like to much to do, very run down. I would rather go to a real beach with all the fun stuff around to do and be able to walk to the beach.

See reviews by guests who stayed at hotels in Erie
We had adjoining rooms that were an added convenience. Our reason for being in Erie was the Tall Ship Festival. We could see the Ships from the windows in our rooms. We were swimming in the infinity pool Saturday evening. Several Tall Ships came up very close to the pool. We took some awesome pictures. On Sunday morning, we sailed on the Lettie G. Howard and actually helped to "Raise the Sails". What an experience!!! We had Sunday breakfast at The Bistro in the hotel lobby. Everything was delicious.
Spacious room, super size and comfortable bed, breakfast as expected, price was over $20 lower than basic hotels in the area, easy check-in, super sharp TV picture. In total, you got everything you expected for the price. and more!
I loved everything about about the place. Staff was impeccably nice and hospitable. I have referred all my family to this hotel. Absolutely loved my stay.
