For the active travellers, a chalet is a great mix of the outdoors and the snug inside. Usually fully furnished and self-catered, chalets are typically wooden and in the Alpine region of Europe, but can also be found elsewhere in the world. Characterised by their sloped roofs, chalets can be single units or separate apartments, and are ideal for skiing holidays.
A unique stay and friendly host
They are clearly recovering from a loss of revenue during Covid so could do with some support
A little out of the way but enjoy the adventure getting there - take the forest road and not the main road (which is full of potholes).
Lovely peacocks roaming free
Only 1 monkey but understandable given post Covid - although would prefer to caged animals at all as not really why we went. Host was very keen to make our stay comfortable and hospitable. Ask for the bottom chalet with fire pit if you have a choice.
The location was extremely quite and restful, the view from the lookout point a short walk from our chalet was stunning, the gardens were full of flowers. Breakfast was excellent, and our hosts Isobel and Waldo were helpful and friendly.
