For the active travellers, a chalet is a great mix of the outdoors and the snug inside. Usually fully furnished and self-catered, chalets are typically wooden and in the Alpine region of Europe, but can also be found elsewhere in the world. Characterised by their sloped roofs, chalets can be single units or separate apartments, and are ideal for skiing holidays.
It's hard to write positives with such basic accommodation. The 'Resort' offers cabins and tents - we stayed in the cabin so we can't comment on the tents.
Gorgeous place in a very secluded spot but only about 10 mins away from Clearwater (supermarket, restaurants etc). The cabins are absolutely lovely, squeaky clean and done up with a lot of care and attention to detail, as are the outdoor areas (lots of seating, fireplace etc). Oh, and they have the most comfortable beds ever! Tents looked very cosy too. We didn't use the sauna but it looked very inviting.
Right on the river, peaceful and quiet, yet close to Wells Gray hikes and Clearwater amenities, the cabin is exceptionally private, brand new, comfortable and tastefully furnished. The shared bathrooms are brand new and immaculate, with fresh towels and no waits, no problem.
Location so amazing. Lovely comfortable chalets. Staff were so accommodating, pleasant and helpful. Great atmosphere. Great scenery. And beautiful breakfast and evening meal.
Beautiful location, absolute peace and quiet! Cabin was very clean and homely. Hosts were wonderful. Nice fresh breakfast served to our cabin. Loved playing with the dogs, using kayaks on the lake and feeding the chickens.
A neat wooden cabin near a lake in Wells Gray is exactly what you need. Friendly folks deliver you breakfast at the cabin, albeit in disposable cardboard boxes.
Loved the stunning, fairly remote location and the beautiful wooden chalet. There is a gorgeous lake which we both swam and kayaked in. We also walked around the lake. The setting is really stunning and we enjoyed glorious weather!
