South Africa Tours and Trips

This trip was amazing. was an incredible tour guide and I loved all of the safari trips plus day excursions. I thought it was the right mix of activities and free time, plus the accomodations were all very good.

Great adventure and my first trip to Africa. Starting in South Africa with good wine and penguins, onto Namibia seeing the second largest canyon in the world, ancient cave paintings and sunrise at the Sossusvlei dunes. It's a great trip if you are no rush and limited by time. Sit back and enjoy the scenery go by. Extend your trip both at the beginning and end. There's lots to do in Cape Town and many adventure activities to try in Victoria Falls. Wildlife in Etosha and Chobe was incredible. Abundance of zebras, giraffes, elephants and special spottings of cheetahs, lions. Kanoeing on the Orange river and the mokoro ride in Botswana were also special things to mention. The long drive days are a small sacrifice to see all there is on the itinerary!

The Cape to Delta Safari with Contiki was the trip of a lifetime! The itinerary was well balanced with safaris and other curated activities, all of which were fantastic. The hotel accommodations were perfect and the camping exceeded my expectations. The highlight of the trip, though, was our guide. He went above and beyond to make sure every we got the most out of our trip. I cannot recommend this trip and Contiki enough!

Our 15-day journey through South Africa was nothing short of extraordinary, every day brought a new and unforgettable experience. The diversity of landscapes, cultures, and wildlife exceeded my expectations. Highlights included watching the sunrise on my birthday at KrugerNationalPark and witnessing the Big Five on multiple game drives. Each destination offered something unique—whether it was the coastal charm of Knysna or the dramatic views along the Panorama Route. What truly made the trip special was the warmth and hospitality of the South African people. Our guides were knowledgeable and passionate, adding so much value with their insights into the country's history, wildlife, and local traditions.

This was an excellent tour that never disappointed. While the tour was rated full on and we were busy, it never felt rushed or pressured. It definitely lives up to it's name, a great representation of the variety that is South Africa.

His energy, knowledge, and genuine care truly shaped the experience in the best way possible. The itinerary struck the perfect balance of adventure and cultural depth—cooking classes, safaris, and meaningful visits to local townships and villages. Every day offered something new and eye-opening, and the group I travelled with made it even more special. I came for the bucket list moments but left with lifelong memories, a deeper connection to Africa, and an incredible group of new friends. If you’re thinking about doing this Contiki—do it! It’s an experience you’ll carry with you forever—I know I will.
