Major Attractions: This exit provides southbound I-87 travellers access to Lake Placid, Keene Valley, High Peaks, Whiteface Mountain Ski Area and other Adirondack jewels. Ausable Chasm is nearby and offers a great canyon view and trip. Also you can access the Vermont ferry and Lake Champlain from Port Kent, just east of Ausable Chasm. Ausable Chasm alone is worth a stop.
