chinese monkey? lid

    something else i picked up today and couldn't resist for a fiver

    its it wonderful condition, but think it might have a bit missing.....

    i'm guessing 19thc canton but not sure

    monkey ?

    More likely a lion I think. Would be from quite a big vase.

    thanks john, the last lid i found sold for over £100, if someone has a damaged or missing one they will spend, especially if they have a pair to complete

    You got that right, buddy. Bump into a table, expensive vase begins to topple, frantically grab the vase, the lid flies off and hits the tile floor :eek: :arghh: :mad:
