This is lovely, soft, very, very fine yarn. It is never fair to talk about yarn skeins in actual skein size. You have to look at the weight of the yarn and how much yardage you’re getting. This is a good price/value for the amount of yarn. I am returning it only because I’m crocheting a baby’s blessing/christening gown that calls for #10 crochet thread. I want to use a comparable lace-weight yarn that is softer. This is closer to #30 (or possibly even thinner) crochet thread. It wouldn’t work for my dress and I don’t think I’ll be doing thinner lace work. However, it is lovely.

The only reason for the one star taken off is the amount of yarn barf I had to untangle. Fortunately it's a slick enough yarn that it's not difficult to untangle, but there was quite a bit of it.

I got this yarn for my daughter, she wanted to knit a lace shawl and this is lace weight yarn. The blue is gorgeous. She started knitting and because she knits a bit tight, the yarn would break when she would be doing a knit 3 together for the pattern, after 3 breaks she gave it to me to make the shawl. I knit looser than she does but it is a bit hard to work with, because there is no stretch. I have to be sure to knit even looser than normal so I can do those knit 3 togethers without breaking the yarn. I am over half way with the shawl and it is going to be beautiful. Just be sure you are knitting loose or have a pattern that doesn't call for a lot of multiple knit togethers.
