1986 Koenig Testarossa Navigation
Willy Koenig, a successful race car driver, started independent tuning operations in 1974 with the purpose of building the ultimate sports cars for the road, combining aerodynamics and design with exclusive interior appointments and optimum driving characteristics. Performance was often enhanced through chassis upgrades, racing brakes, wide rims and tires, engine performance, sports exhaust system, and - at the customer's request - with turbo or supercharger.

Auction entries : 1Willy Koenig offered his first 'tuner' Ferrari in 1974, a 365 BB which was supplied to Germany. The Koenig treatment was famously expensive, guaranteeing exclusivity for its 1980s clientele who were often seeking notable excess. When Ferrari released the Testarossa in 1984, it was not long before Koenig Specials offered their performance upgrades known as the Ferrari Testarossa Koenig Competition Evolution. Based on a standard road car, the engine was highly modified to increase power output by upwards of 800 bhp, along with anti-roll bars, a widened wheel-track, and modified bodywork to accommodate larger wheels and a sports exhaust system. The interior was also given the 'Koenig treatment,' offering customers a wide range of bespoke options. Heavy-duty fiberglass wide body kits adorned the exterior, making the rare Testarossa even more exclusive and unique.
