What’s New in NEET MDS 2025 Exam Pattern?

The National Board of Education (NBE) has unveiled the NEET MDS Syllabus and Exam Pattern for 2025 on its official website. Currently, no alterations are anticipated in the NEET MDS Exam Pattern. As outlined in the NEET MDS 2025 paper pattern, the examination will comprise a total of 240 multiple-choice questions and will be conducted in online mode. English will be the sole medium of instruction for the NEET MDS Exam 2025. Candidates will receive 4 marks for each correct response, while -1 will be deducted for incorrect answers. The overall duration of the exam is set at 3 hours.

NEET MDS 2025 Exam Pattern Changes

As per the exam schedule, the NEET MDS 2025 exam will be conducted on January 31, 2025. The National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) has announced the NEET MDS 2025 exam date through a common exam calendar on the official website. The candidates must also know that no other exam schedule has been announced apart from the exam date. This year, the NBEMS has announced a change in the NEET MDS 2025 exam pattern and structure, introducing time-bound sections for different question sets. NBE will release the NEET MDS 2025 exam pattern along with the information brochure which is expected in the fourth week of January 2025. The exam is likely to take place in the third week of March 2025. 

1. The NEET MDS examination 2025 will consist of 5 mandatory time-bound sections (A, B, C, D & E), with 40 questions in each section.
2. The total time duration for each section is 42 minutes. After the time for a section ends, the candidates will not be able to revisit or review any questions from that section.
3. The candidates cannot proceed to the next section until the allotted time for the current section is completed. The next section will start automatically once the time is up for the previous one.
4. The exam clock is synchronized with the server. The ‘countdown timer’ at the top right corner of the screen will display the remaining time for the current section. Once the timer reaches zero, the system will automatically switch to the next section. The candidates must be careful while taking the NEET MDS 2025 exam.

NEET MDS 2024 Exam Analysis

As per the student’s reaction and question paper,, analysis, the NEET MDS 2024 exam difficulty level was easy to moderate. According to the candidates appearing for the NEET MDS exam, the difficulty level was easier than last year. As far as the syllabus is concerned, there was an equal distribution of questions from all 17 topics of the NEET MDS syllabus. Moreover, the number of image-based questions was higher as compared to last year. Also, the theoretical questions were a bit tricky, and not direct. Some students, who had appeared for last year's NEET MDS exam, said that some questions from last year were repeated this year, including the answer choices. So, practicing the NEET MDS previous year is equally important. Topics from which maximum questions were asked include Medicine and Pharma.
