This one is a bit nicer that the 3 on my last post. A nice one from Antioch. Constantius II 22mm, 5.1g. obverse D N CONSTAN-TIVS P F AVG, pearl-diademed, draped and cuirassed bust right; reverse FEL TEMP RE-PARATIO, Gamma in left, soldier spearing Horseman, hair in braids, bearded, reaching back towards soldier, AN Delta in ex Antioch 132
Great addition @randygeki . The portrait is particularly nice. I don't have any FTR for Constantius II but perhaps you will be okay with me adding my dueling Victories Roman Empire Canstantius II (AD 337-361) AE16, Siscia mint Obv.: CONSTANTIVS P F AVG Rev.: VICTORIAE DD AVGG Q NN Ref.: RIC VIII 182
Nice one @Curtisimo Feel free to pile on any coins all No, get a better one Theres plenty like these.
Oh I will. Right now my budget is small. I picked up a worn Faustina II Denarii from a friend a couple days ago. Still waiting for it to arrive.
Nice surfaces on that new coin RG! This scraggly little AE4 of Julian II from Antioch is kind of growing on me. Pretty good for the type really. Julian II 355-360 AD O: DN IVLIANV-S NOB CAES, R: Fallen horseman, AN (gamma) in ex, Antioch mint. (Antioch 189), 16 mm, 2.9 g
Nice score @randygeki ! Very nice bronze... I have Fallen Horseman from CII, and a couple others. But none are from Antioch... Most certainly! It is much harder to find a really nice AE4 falling horseman with full legends and all Julians are late so your coin is quite deserving of your admiration.
