Yeah! Woo! is a drum break which includes James Brown's ("Yeah!") and Bobby Byrd's ("Woo!") voices which has been repeatedly used in popular music, often in the form of a loop. It originates from the 1972 Lyn Collins recording "Think (About It)", a song written and produced by Brown, and is one of 5 breaks contained in the recording.

Background and impact

"Yeah! Woo!" was probably first used as a loop by Cookie Crew (in "Females") but got major airplay and attention used as the backing loop for the 1988 platinum-selling hit "It Takes Two" by MC Rob Base & DJ E-Z Rock, which is almost entirely composed of sampled parts from "Think (About It)".

The number of artists who have used "Yeah! Woo!" in songs numbers in the hundreds – it became almost ubiquitous in dance and hip hop records during the late 1980s and early 1990s. It has also found its way into the title screen of Action 52 on the NES, the "Jungle Chase" level of Super Adventure Island on the SNES, and "Jazzy NYC" (Alex's Theme) as well as the continue screen of Street Fighter III: New Generation. The sample was also used during many of the Chao races in Sonic Adventure 2: Battle, and during some of the tracks from the AirBlade soundtrack.

King of the Monsters is a series of video games created by SNK Corporation (the predecessor of the current SNK Playmore) for the Neo-Geo, featuring giant monsters reminiscent of kaiju and tokusatsu.

King of the Monsters is a fighting/wrestling game. It was released by SNK on July 1, 1991 in Japan (later released on the Virtual Console), with later ports for the Super NES and Sega Genesis by Takara. King of the Monsters was included as part of SNK Arcade Classics Vol. 1 which was released for the Wii, PlayStation 2 and PSP in 2008.

Gameplay

Players get to choose any one of six monsters (four in the 16-bit ports) for battle, and two players can join forces to fight the monsters together. Battles end when one of the monsters is pinned for a three count or if time expires (in which case the player loses).

The game consists of 12 total levels (8 in the 16-bit ports): the player first must defeat all six monsters, with the last monster being oneself, but in a different palette. Then the player must defeat the six monsters again, in the same order, but this time in different cities.

Anti is the eighth studio album by Barbadian recording artist Rihanna, released on January 28, 2016, through Westbury Road and Roc Nation. The singer began planning the record in 2014, at which time she left her previous label Def Jam and joined Roc Nation. Work continued into 2015, during which she released three singles, including the internationally acclaimed "FourFiveSeconds"; they were ultimately removed from the final track listing. Anti was made available for free digital download on January 28 through Tidal and was released to online music stores for paid purchase on January 29. The album was launched to physical retailers on February 5.

As executive producer, Rihanna contributed to most of the album's lyrics and collaborated with producers including Jeff Bhasker, Boi-1da, DJ Mustard, Hit-Boy, Brian Kennedy, Timbaland and No I.D. to achieve her desired sound. Their efforts resulted in a departure from Rihanna's previous dance and club music genre and created a primarily pop and R&B album, with elements of soul and dancehall. The producers incorporated dark, sparsely layered, minimalist song structures, whilst most of Anti's lyrics dealt with the complexities of romantic love and self-assurance.

Yeah is Park Jung-ah's 1st studio album. It was released on August 25, 2006.

Mary Star of the Sea is the only album by American alternative rock band Zwan, It was released on January 28, 2003. "Honestly" and "Lyric" were released as singles. The album is named both for the Blessed Virgin Mary, from whom Billy Corgan claimed to find comfort and guidance, and for the Catholic Church in Key West, Florida where he spent time during Zwan's early rehearsals. Corgan announced the band's dissolution seven months after the album's release, which he later attributed to internal conflict.

Critical reception

The album received mostly positive reviews. David Browne of Entertainment Weekly named Mary Star of the Sea the sixth best album of 2003. The Alternative Press called the album a "return to form" for Corgan. The album debuted at #3 in the U.S. selling 90,000 copies in its first week, but quickly descended the charts, and fell short of the sales of any Smashing Pumpkins album.
