William Allen Harbinson (Born 1941 in Northern Ireland), who writes under the name W. A. Harbinson, is a British author. He is perhaps most well known for his Projekt Saucer five-volume series of science fiction novels. In addition to science fiction Harbinson also writes War novels, many with a special forces theme, under the pseudonym Shaun Clarke.

Biography

W.A.Harbinson was born in Belfast, Northern Ireland in 1941. He went to live in England at 17, then emigrated to Australia at 19, serving for six years in the Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF). Returning to England, he lived in London for twenty years, spent a few years in Paris, but now lives in West Cork, Ireland.

Harbinson began his literary career with a series of potboiler paperbacks published in Sydney, Australia, between 1967–69. His first serious novel, published when he had left Australia and settled in London, was a World War II epic, INSTRUMENTS OF DEATH (1973), entitled NONE BUT THE DAMNED in the US. Being a paperback original, the novel received few reviews, though on the cover of the US edition, best-selling novelist Robin "The French Connection" Moore hailed it as "The greatest war novel since Norman Mailer's The Naked and the Dead". This was followed by an avant garde novel, KNOCK (1975), described in the Foreword by Colin Wilson as a work that "belongs to an Irish tradition that runs from Charles Lever and Samuel Lover, down through Joyce, Beckett and Donleavy".

Węża [ˈvɛ̃ʐa] is a village in the administrative district of Gmina Korfantów, within Nysa County, Opole Voivodeship, in south-western Poland. It lies approximately 11 kilometres (7 mi) south-west of Korfantów, 13 km (8 mi) east of Nysa, and 41 km (25 mi) south-west of the regional capital Opole.

We`a or Wê‘a is a town in the Arta Region of Djibouti. It is located on the N1 road, which connects it to Djibouti City, located some 33 kilometres (20 miles) to the east. We`a is the second largest city in the Arta Region after Arta and before Damerjog. It is the primary transportation hub in western Djibouti via highway. The town is sits in a small valley.

History

We`a's place-name literally means "turn" in the Afro-Asiatic Somali language. It later formed a part of the French Somaliland protectorate in the first half of the 20th century.

We`a lies on the National Highway 1.

Nearby towns and villages include Djibouti City, Arta and Holhol. Public buses go from Djibouti City to We`a, taking about half an hour to get to the town. The ride itself costs around 350 Djiboutian franc. Arta is situated just up the mountain around 3 kilometres (2 miles) to the north.

Additionally, We`a serves as a commercial transit point for goods from Ethiopia. Ethiopian trucks and traders frequently pass through the town.
