Wytches is a ongoing American comic book written by Scott Snyder and illustrated by Jock. The first issue of the series released on 8 October 2014 and is currently published through Image Comics. The rights for a film adaptation have been purchased by Plan B Entertainment.

Synopsis

The series follows the Rook family, in particular their daughter Sailor. The family moved to another town following an incident involving Sailor and a particularly vicious school bully named Annie. In this incident, Sailor was attacked and Annie went missing, prompting rumors that Sailor killed her. Eventually the speculation grows to the point where Sailor's father Charlie and mother Lucy decide that the only thing to do is move the family to a neighboring town in the hopes of starting over again. This proves to be unsuccessful as some of the rumors have followed the family and Sailor still feels ostracized from her new school peers. The family is also largely unaware that the town is home to its own supernatural secrets, in particular a tradition where a person will pledge another to strange beings in the nearby forest in order to gain a boon from them. Sailor soon finds herself confronted by Annie, who was taken by the beings inhabiting the forest but sent back to finish her attack.

Inkubus Sukkubus are a British goth and pagan band, formed in 1989 by Candia Ridley, Tony McKormack, and Adam Henderson, who have been described as one of the most enduringly popular underground Goth bands in the UK.

History

Inkubus Sukkubus have released albums and toured ever since their formation as Incubus Succubus in 1989.

In 1995, they changed their name to Inkubus Sukkubus, citing numerological reasons, and signed to Resurrection Records. The live line-up changed significantly, adopting the use of a drum machine and sequenced backing, with some additional support by a bodhrán, and Adam Henderson moving back to bass.

In 1996, the band appeared live on UK national television on Channel 4's "The Big Breakfast", performing the track "Heartbeat Of The Earth".

Inkubus Sukkubus were due to play a gig in Mexico City on Beltane (1 May) 2009. When it was cancelled due to the outbreak of swine influenza, the band received national media exposure, particularly through The Sun newspaper.
