Basia Bulat (born April 13, 1984) /ˈbɒʃə buːˈlɒt/, is a Canadian folk singer-songwriter. She is known for performing with an autoharp.
Bulat grew up in Etobicoke, Ontario where her mother was a music teacher who taught piano and guitar. She is an honorary member of Ontario's "Polonia" Polish community. She has said the radio at home was permanently tuned to an oldies station. “I don’t think I realised the radio had more than one station until I was 11 or 12,” she says.
She attended the University of Western Ontario where she received a degree in English; she also took some classes with Olenka Krakus of the band Olenka and the Autumn Lovers. While a student there, she was coaxed by friends into opening for Julie Doiron and soon gained a local following.
Bulat released an independent EP in 2005 and was subsequently signed to Rough Trade Records, which released her full-length debut album, Oh, My Darling in April 2007. The album was later released in Canada by Hayden's Hardwood Records.

In September 2004, at the age of 18, Conrad came to prominence after being cast in the reality television series Laguna Beach: The Real Orange County, which documented her life and those of her friends.
After moving to Los Angeles to pursue a career in the fashion industry in May 2006, Conrad was commissioned to star in her own spin-off series The Hills, which chronicled the personal and professional lives of her and friends Heidi Montag, Audrina Patridge, and Whitney Port. During its production, she attended the Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising and held positions with Teen Vogue and Kelly Cutrone's PR firm People's Revolution. As the series progressed, a widely publicized feud developed between Conrad against Montag and her boyfriend Spencer Pratt. Consequently, the conflict became the central focus of the series, and was carried through each subsequent season in which Conrad appeared.

Basia Trzetrzelewska [ˈbaɕa tʂɛtʂɛˈlɛfska] (born September 30, 1954) is a Polish singer-songwriter and record producer. She established a successful international recording career featuring characteristically Latin-flavoured jazz-pop crossover songs during the late 1980s and early 1990s and the late 2000s and 2010s, particularly in the United States, the United Kingdom, France, and Japan. She is noted for possessing a wide vocal range, approximately three octaves that span from contralto to soprano tessituras, as well as her singular jazz-influenced stylings and multi-layered harmonies.
Basia was born in Jaworzno, Poland in 1954. She debuted as a guest of local amateur rock band Astry and performed with them at the Polish Festival of Beat Avangarde in Kalisz, where they won. Thanks to this performance, she was a member of the popular Polish all-female vocal group Alibabki from 1972 to 1974. From 1977 to 1979, she sang with the rock band Perfect.
Settling temporarily in Chicago in 1979, she later relocated to London in 1981. It was there she met Mark Reilly and his collaborator Danny White (brother of jazz guitarist Peter White). In 1983, the trio performed as the jazz-pop group Bronze but later changed their name to Matt Bianco and recorded their debut album Whose Side Are You On?, released in 1984. The album was a hit across Europe, selling more than 1.5 million copies and then bringing two top 30 hits on the UK Singles Chart: "Get Out of Your Lazy Bed" and "Half a Minute".

Outside there's no wind there's no rain just the night is outside
And it's filled up my eyes but I still see
The river runs over the side of my hand
I keep watching the water take over and over again
And again, and again
Then the star came down low and it started to glow
I have never been so afraid
I remember the garden that made yesterday
Such a beautiful thing that I couldn't escape
And it kept me awake so long
I went alone and you found me
Here with my ghost all around me
Hoping to call you my own again
La da da da da da da da da da da da da
La da da da da da da da da da da da da
Now we know after all this time
Your heart and your mind they are mine and they're lovely
I've held on to my green disguise
But you were the one who still wanted to find me
Just to tell me the words have flowed over the waters
And hover around as we stare at each other and smile
When I whisper the wavering answer oh I'll close my eyes you know
I've been awake for so long
I went alone and you found me
Here with my ghost all around me
Hoping to call you my own again
