Bertrand Burgalat (born 1963) is a French musician, composer and producer.
Bertrand Burgalat was born in the Corsican town of Bastia in 1963. His father, a high-ranking civil servant, was the sub-prefect of the island at the time, but as often happens in this profession, the Burgalat family moved several times in the course of Burgalat senior's career so young Bertrand grew up in several different towns in France. Obsessed with Classical Music from an early age, Burgalat apparently became fascinated with the possibilities of pop music after seeing Pink Floyd in concert when he was 10 years old.
Burgalat is well known for his cool, breezy 1960s-style pop sound, something he has lent to his production work with Air, April March, A.S Dragon, Cinnamon, Dalcan, Jad Wio, Mick Harvey, Louis Philippe and the French writer Michel Houellebecq. His musical influences include the "yé-yé" sound of French pop made famous by France Gall, Françoise Hardy and Brigitte Fontaine, as well as the singers Jacques Dutronc and Serge Gainsbourg, as well as the 'folk-music of the Ruhr' created by Kraftwerk. Reputed to possess one of the most acute ears in the business, 'BB' (a nickname he shares with Brigitte Bardot) also draws inspiration from 20th century French classical composers such as Maurice Ravel, Francis Poulenc and Olivier Messiaen, and was greatly influenced by the writings of cult French journalist-cum-pop visionary Yves Adrien.
Sexy Boy may refer to:
"Sexy Boy (Soyokaze ni Yorisotte)" (SEXY BOY 〜そよ風に寄り添って〜, Sekushii Bōi ~Soyokaze ni Yorisotte~, Sexy Boy (Cuddling in the Gentle Breeze)) is the twenty-ninth single of J-pop idol group Morning Musume. It was released on March 15, 2006, in two editions—a normal edition, and a limited edition with five photo cards featuring the members in duos and came in special packaging. The single reached a peak of #4 on the weekly Oricon charts, and lasted in the charts for 8 weeks.
As suggested by its title and lyric, the song portrays the "feeling of the speed of a spring whirlwind"; the song's protagonist is a princess cruising over the spring ocean.
The Single V was released on March 29, 2006.
Reina Tanaka is shown modelling the choreography for the PV in additional pictures. Part of this dance, the characteristic "ue ue" (上 上, sometimes written "↑↑", "up up") motion of pointing one's index fingers up in the air, is often imitated by fans at concerts.
"Sexy Boy" is a single by French band Air and was featured in the film 10 Things I Hate About You as well as the British television series Queer as Folk.
The music video, directed by Mike Mills, shows the members of Air in New York City. They see a toy monkey on the street and immediately enter a fantasy in which the monkey is a giant and flies off to the Moon. Meanwhile, the members of Air are still in New York and other people see them playing with the toy monkey around the United Nations headquarters and in Central Park. The fantasy scenes are shown in colorful animation and the scenes in real life are shot in live action and black and white.
The song was covered by Franz Ferdinand and appears as a b-side to the single "Walk Away". "Sexy Boy" was also covered by German artist Nena on her 2007 cover album Cover Me. It was also covered by the French group Plastiscines on their 2014 album "Back To The Start"
Si je me rencontrais au coin de la rue
Je me dirais Bonjour Bertrand
Je me dirais Bonjour mon grand
Qu'avons-nous vécu depuis ces trente-cinq ans
Tu n'as rien vu, moi non plus
Si je me rencontrais au coin de la rue
Je me dirais Bonjour Bertrand
S'il ne s'agit pas d'un malentendu
C'est que l'on s'est reconnus
Si je me rencontrais au coin de la rue
Ce serait charmant, intéressant, bouleversant, fascinant
