Scott Douglas McDonald (born 21 August 1983) is an Australian professional footballer currently playing for Motherwell. Originally a striker, McDonald can also play as an attacking midfielder.

Club career

Early career

McDonald began his career at Doveton, before joining Casey Comets. He made three appearances on loan from his Victorian State League club, Cranbourne Comets, with Gippsland Falcons in the ANSL, where he became the club's youngest ever NSL player, replacing Jason Marsh, when making his first-team debut aged just fifteen.

McDonald started off as a trainee with Southampton in 2001 where he managed only three appearances (one first-team start and two as a substitute), being loaned to Huddersfield Town where again he had chances to play first team football. McDonald scored just once for Huddersfield, in a 2–1 defeat to Tranmere Rovers and Bournemouth (scoring once against Shrewsbury). Upon reaching the end of his contract with Southampton he signed for Wimbledon on a rolling monthly contract.

Scott McDonald (born May 8, 1986 in Mississauga, Ontario) is a Canadian curler from London, Ontario. He currently skips a team on the World Curling Tour.

McDonald had a successful junior career which involved winning the 2002 provincial Bantam championship (playing lead for Andrew Nixon), the 2004 provincial school boy championship for London's St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Secondary School, and the 2007 provincial junior mixed championship.

Following juniors, McDonald went on to play on the World Curling Tour, first for Kirk Ziola and then for Wayne Tuck, Jr. (playing second on both teams). In 2012, McDonald would form his own team as skip. McDonald won his first Tour event as a skip at the 2013 KW Fall Classic. He would win the event again in 2014.

McDonald has played in two provincial championships. He played in the 2010 Ontario Men's Curling Championship with Ziola, finishing 2-8 and in the 2012 The Dominion Tankard with Tuck, finishing 5-5.

McDonald went to his first national championship when he and Jaclyn Rivington won the provincial mixed doubles challenge. The pair went to the 2013 Canadian Mixed Doubles Curling Trials. After going 7-0 in the round robin, they were eliminated in their first playoff match.

Scott McDonald (born 1967) is the chief executive officer of Oliver Wyman – the management consulting business of Oliver Wyman Group. McDonald graduated from the McGill University Desautels Faculty of Management, where he received degrees in Finance & Economics, and from Cambridge University, where he received a Master of Philosophy degree in International Relations.

Career

McDonald was born in Toronto, Canada. In the late 1970’s, McDonald’s family moved to Saudi Arabia. His father (a doctor) and mother (a teacher and nurse) were involved in the early days of both the King Faisal Specialist Hospital in Riyadh and the Sultan Qaboos University in Muscat, after which they moved to Dubai. McDonald said, "We lived right near Jumeirah Beach but there was no hotel, no developments or anything, and our small compound was about the only thing that existed. After studying at McGill University and Cambridge University, McDonald joined Oliver Wyman in 1995 in London. In 2005, McDonald was appointed the leader of the Corporate and Institutional Banking practice, and in 2007, was named managing partner. In 2012, McDonald was named president of Oliver Wyman.
