Arian Asllani (born December 2, 1983), better known by the stage name Action Bronson, is an American rapper and former chef. In August 2012, he signed to Warner Bros. Records, but was later moved to Atlantic Records' imprint, Vice Records.
Bronson has released several mixtapes, such as Rare Chandeliers (2012), with American hip hop producer The Alchemist and Blue Chips 2 (2013), with longtime producer Party Supplies, before releasing his major label debut, an extended play (EP) titled Saaab Stories, with frequent collaborator Harry Fraud, in 2013. He released his major label debut album, Mr. Wonderful, on March 23, 2015.
Bronson was born in Flushing, Queens, New York, the son of a Muslim Albanian immigrant father and a Jewish New Yorker mother. Before embarking on a career as a rapper, which was originally just a hobby, Bronson was a respected fire-flame gourmet chef in New York City. He hosted his own online cooking show titled Action in the Kitchen. After breaking his leg in the kitchen, Bronson concentrated solely on his music career.
Mr. Wonderful is the second studio album by American hip hop recording artist Action Bronson, released on March 23, 2015, by Atlantic Records and Vice Records. The album, recorded throughout 2014, was produced by several high-profile record producers, such as The Alchemist, Mark Ronson and Noah "40" Shebib. The album has guest appearances by Big Body Bes, Meyhem Lauren, Chauncy Sherod, Chance the Rapper and Party Supplies. Upon its release, Mr. Wonderful received generally positive reviews from music critics, who praised Bronson's lyricism and production choices. The album debuted at number seven on the US Billboard 200 and was supported by four singles: "Easy Rider", "Actin Crazy", "Terry" and "Baby Blue".
Mr. Wonderful may refer to:
"Mr. Wonderful" is a popular song, written in 1955 written by Jerry Bock, George David Weiss, and Larry Holofcener, as the title song of a Broadway musical starring Sammy Davis Jr.
The most popular contemporary recordings of the song were done by Peggy Lee and Sarah Vaughan. It was covered in Britain by Ruby Murray.
Bette Midler covered this song on her Peggy Lee tribute album Bette Midler Sings the Peggy Lee Songbook.
This song was used by The Kinks during the live portion of the album Everybody's in Show-Biz.
It also makes a memorable appearance sung (largely out of tune) by a boys choir at the Lake Tahoe First Communion celebrations at the beginning of Francis Ford Coppola's GODFATHER Part II.
Mr. Wonderful is an album by jazz organist Johnny "Hammond" Smith which was recorded in 1963 and released on the Riverside label.
The Allmusic site awarded the album 3 stars calling it "A fine set that holds some appeal for the straight jazz crowd as well as the organ soul-jazz clique".
