Coy Luther "Luke" Perry III (born October 11, 1966) is an American actor. He starred as Dylan McKay on the TV series Beverly Hills, 90210 from 1990 to 1995, and again from 1998 to 2000.

Childhood

Perry was born in Mansfield, Ohio and raised in Fredericktown, Ohio. There, he was the school mascot, the Fredericktown High School Freddie. His mother, Ann Bennett, was a homemaker, and his father, Coy Luther Perry, Jr., was a steelworker. Perry likes to go home annually for the Fredericktown Tomato Show, an annual street fair.

Perry moved to Los Angeles shortly after high school to pursue acting as he did not have any opportunities to do so in Ohio. He worked as a paver and lived in various cities including Huntington Beach, Long Beach, Downey, and Paramount.

Career

In an interview with Whoopi Goldberg in the 1990s, Perry said he auditioned for 215 acting jobs in New York before finally scoring a TV commercial. After appearing in the music video "Be Chrool to Your Scuel" for the band Twisted Sister alongside Alice Cooper, Perry's earliest roles were in the daytime soap operas Loving (1987–1988) and Another World (1988–1989).

Luke Perry is an English artist known for his monumental sculptures most especially those celebrating the heritage of the Industrial Revolution, particularly in the Black Country. He is the director and chief artist of his non-profit company Industrial Heritage Stronghold.

After an early career in documentary film - winning a Bronze medal for short film at the London International Short Film Festival - he returned to the Black Country to establish Industrial Heritage Stronghold (IHS); a not for profit organisation which was to be a vehicle for the production of large-scale public artworks. He has won numerous awards to date including the Cultural Champions Award (Presented by the Minister for Culture Ed Vaisey MP) and Birmingham City University Alumni of the year. His more recent works can be viewed on www.industrialheritagestronghold.com He began to receive national recognition in 2010 when he was a co-presenter of the Channel 4 television series Titanic:The Mission.

Luke Perry (born 20 November 1995) is an Australian volleyball player. Luke began playing Volleyball in 2009 for his school. In late 2012, Luke was offered a scholarship to the AIS (Australian Institute of Sport), in Canberra which he accepted and begun training full time for volleyball. In 2013 he was selected as part of the Men’s National Senior team, the Volleyroos. He currently plays for Team Lakkapaa, based in Finland.
